Its a very contentious issue Bearcat , a real can of worms.

I'm sure you have a answer why it left it out of our brain .

Come to think about, it deosn't matter. Foer the foreseeable future we are stuck with this one so make the best of it.

Do you know when Charlamagne lived?

Would still like to know the source of your 29 degrees?
As Carl Sagan noted, there are billions of stars in just our Milky Way galaxy, and billions of galaxies in the universe- many much, much larger than ours, and the probability that there are other life-supporting planets like Earth is beyond question-- it is rather a matter of trying how to estimate their numbers- no doubt at least in the hundreds of millions.

That is assuming that life could generate on its own. Another assumption that science makes yet cannot prove.

Flying spaghetti monster. Cute. However, unbelievers don't seem to be concerned whether or not the flying spaghetti monster exists. They do seem to be terribly concerned to disprove and question any possibility that God exists. The possibiltiy that He does must be very scary.
Like I made clear. I am not here to discuss my religious views. I am strictly talking about empirical, scientific proof, as it pertains to proving either positives or negatives. Let's leave religion out of it and stick to the OP, which is whether other Earths can be proven to exist, or can we merely not grasp the concept of their existence.

And even Sagan admitted that his whole idea was speculation, as laid out in the Drake Equation...

Scientific proof? How 'bout proving that life spontaneously arose. It is widely assumed but not proven. Hey....how did DNA arise....perhaps the most complicated code that man has been confronted with?
I pose these questions from a scientific viewpoint of curiosity, the answers to which have eluded us for hundreds of years...
IF you believe that man evolved from ape, why are apes still also in existence and didn't get replaced by man?
After all, many prehistoric mammals are long gone, only to have been replaced by their "improved" versions.
The fossil record covers 10's of millions of years and includes the smallest plankton. We can use that fossil record to trace the modern thoroughbred all the way back to the earliest versions of horse.
Using the fossil record, we know that the whale used to walk on land.
So, why hasn't a "missing link" been discovered that shows the change from ape to man?
If we arose from apes and survived to this day, I could logically reason there HAD to be more than a few of those missing links in existence and that they didn't live in a vacuum ...
Why are their bones and artifacts not around to be found when so many other animals, plants and even civilizations left so much evidence of their existence behind?
Just saying..

Ha! My question was referring to the tilt of the earth's axis, which I said 23.5 degrees; boberic responded and posted that it was 29 degrees. I wanted the source of his information but he is yet to get back with me.
Actually, I have seen reported that the earth's axis wobbles (precesses) over a 29,000 year period, and the angle varies from 22.1 to 24.5 degrees. I have never seen 29 degrees.

I know. It was just the way your phrased it: "I'd still like to know the source of your 29 degrees."
There is more and more evidence of mans gradual changes coming to light all the time. I often wonder what the world would have been like if apes had kept pace with modern man and we shared the world with them in a "civilised" way. Couldnt have happened of course , we would have knocked them off, we cant even get along with the different races of man can we??.
