My point is that, while it is exciting to speculate on aliens and their "spaceships," a more down to earth explanation is probably much more likely, in my opinion.

Well, I would tend to think that it is still under wraps here on earth and never came from elsewhere.

I hesitate to reveal this because of all the cynical comments it will bring, but:

If there is no God, then who spoke to me? (not verbally, but almost like a digital transfer of a message).

I cant answer that because I dont know who spoke to you and it may well have been your God and that is wonderful and miraculous to have happened for you. I also know of people who hear voices and dont call the voices God but they are suffering from Schizophrenia . That is a mental illness though and I think with treatment they come to accept that it isn't real.

if it was digital it must recent as tube types radio phones and morse code ,
