naa I like them rude, it gets the circulation up. Hey did you see the YouTube video with the sheep herding bunny? If you haven't you have to Google it. Just type in sheep herding bunny. it's all over the place.

Cute, there are a few videos there
This one stars a Holland Lop, same breed as the one I have. It's ears are always down unless they're intimidated then the ears go up, exact opposite of the other Rabbit breads.

Hi. I have many and varied interest, as such belong to many web site forums
I think that this is one of the more mellower forums that I belong to. It is VERY educational you just got to weed out the jerks and take what you can of the good stuff. I love this forum.

Sorry, but I have seen some downright, rude, snide answers from some people in response some newbies question and it was a total put down.
If you really don't care for the way someone did something at least use some tact in responding and consider the other persons feelings.

There are so many areas where there is no right or wrong. It's OK. Opinions differ but that doesn't mean you have to be Ugly about it.
There is a big difference between giving constructive criticism and being a nasty critic. Remember that old saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all"? That's where the constructive part comes in. Find a way to provide feedback without being a jerk.

P.S. The utmost respect and admiration to the many who willingly share their knowledge, always have a kind word, and who go above and beyond with details, and links, and fixing images, and answering the same question more than once, and pointing a person to a prior topic, and making people feel welcome.

I feel as you do about this subject. The are a lot of really nice people on this site that can address the subject in such a way that has a calming affect yet express what they see that can be corrected. Then there are very few that can say things in a mean cruel way. I have notice that some of them have disappeared or seldom heard from.

Many of those people, I have found out, do not post any photos of their own and have the unmitigated gall to putdown and harangue those who do. So if they disappear --- good riddance.

So true! I just received a pm from a fellow member offering me C&C on my avatar .... according to this person it's very disconcerting. They also didn't seem to realize that my avatar is of my 8 year old daughter hamming it up for the camera, they thought it was ME! lmao
This person has NEVER posted a sample of their work and when I looked at their listed website there was no portrait photography to speak of (or any photography for that matter). Their feedback has been filed in the trash where it belongs.
Some like to tear people down to make themselves feel better, others want to help people grow and find themselves as a photographer. The trick is to find out which is which.
Toughen up that's how you learn. A few years ago if you got a roll of film back with a bunch bad pictures, it represented a waste of money. It used to cost us money to make bad pictures, so we tried very hard not to. Now you just push a button and send them to the trash. Where is the incentive and that? I've attended workshops, forms, seminars and classes even taught a few. Over the last 40 years one thing has been consistent; the more automated the equipment becomes the less informed the people using it have to be. That's not altogether a good thing. If you're ignorant, and someone rudely points that out, you're a lot more likely to learn from the experience. So the next time someone is rude to you, thank them. With any lack one day he'll able be rude also.

someone definetly needs to attend a Dale Carnige "HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE" seminar. it is never beneficial to be rude and obnoxious, why do you think the Germans tried twice the last century and once in the 19th to overrun FRANCE!!!!!

Your avatar is my favorite one here. Hands down. I get a negative p.m. on mine about every 10 days. I love it. Love me or hate me it makes no difference to me; it's indifference I can't tolerate.

I agree that people in general need to toughen up...
I grew up in the aircraft manufacturing business...it was the 3rd job I had in my life now I'm 52 and still doing it, and you either toughened up or you got chewed up.
No holding hands, no reading for you...you tried your darnedest do find the answer BEFORE you asked...nobody had time to nursemaid you. There were no "first give 10 compliments then you can say something negative" sorts of cries...nope.
If you succeeded in doing your job correctly and within a budget, then nobody said anything, you were supposed to do things correctly....but do something wrong...and you heard about it.
I didn't resent it...I didn't cry or get mad....I learned fast...and I paid attention.
These days we live in a marshmallow creme world...:)
The worst offender in my opinion...hardly if ever posts shots. Another problem in my mind is that cameras have so many bells and whistles these days they are actually hard for a newbie to figure out how to use. That in turn leads to questions some of the more experienced folks
take as foolish and in turn don't think about how they respond. Personally I wish Auto mode would have never happened. It makes things too easy and some folks never learn the basics and how to develop one's skills. As far as this site goes it's the mildest and most helpful forum I have ever found. I have been on sites that guys want to whip some butt and ask for addresses. If you want to see bad just visit an MC website! I've never seen any website that is pristeen...it's the nature of the beast..things are said when you can remain anonymous.
Geez..... Just my .02

Valuable 2 cents! Agree that new cameras (or cell phones or iPads) are not easy. I learned on a Canon manual film camera. It took a while to master but now seems so simple compared to what it takes to run a digital camera. :)
