Give up on the expensive 4x6 printers and send your snapshots to one of the photo printers. You can get them much cheaper at WalMart, Walgreens, Costco in an hour or two, or even cheaper - about 9c a print - online at places like Snapfish (owned by HP).

Yes, I do that too, and of course I have to for large prints. But sometimes I only need a 4x6 for snapshots (mostly grand kids) and as the saying goes "I want it, and I want it now!"

I have heard of snapfish, but didn't know it was owned by HP, I will check it out. I just tried DPI for some large prints and was satisfied, but they had a $12 min (but no shipping cost:).

Thanks you for the input,

Alan

I purchased the Canon Selphy CP910 to use in my Photo Booth and seems to do good job with sharp photo's. It does not use ink using color Ink/Paper sets. I purchase the KP-108IN that gives you 108 pictures

That's a very good deal. Does that print right from the SD card?

I've printed 100s with my Selphy 900. The larger packs are very convenient, about 108 photos, and the color cartridge is so easy to change out.

Hi,

My Epson PictureMate is dying.

I am looking for an inexpensive Canon 4 inch x 6 inch printer for snapshots.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Alan

I think you can get them at Walgreens in one hour.

I love my Canon selphy. Yes, the prints are expensive at 27 cents each (compared to 9 cents at Wal-Mart). I like getting instant prints. I use it on vacation to make post cards to send home. You don't need the Internet or to find a store close enough to make prints.

I have a Canon Selphy CP910 and I love it.
No issues, the quality is fine and it's easy to use and wireless.

I think this is the Pixma renamed. Nice, portable, good quality. However, the ink is expensive, and it runs out quickly.

Expensive Ink? How about $3,500 for a gallon of printers ink?

Add up all those little things and you spend little on printer but they get you when buying ink.

There was an article about 5 yrs ago in local paper about what everything cost by the gallon. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
