There's a new book out by Scott Kelby, titled Photoshop CC. It $35 FROM Amazon. It's an awesome book and easy to understand. Buy it.

I find it useful, with any new software, to give it a monster workout, trying to break the software. Having been a Photoshop user since Atari made the fastest computer that ran Photoshop (under Spectre GCR Mac emulation) I can say it's the top software on the Mac. On the PC, probably PaintShop Pro is king, and a lot cheaper. Not that Photoshop won't run on a PC, of course, it's just a bit weird on it due to OS differences.

Well, it appears that Photoshop has been good to you because all that one needs to do is to check out the photo demonstrating your Avatar, you lucky rascal !

Ditto.

You may also wish to consider buying this book:

Adobe Photoshop CC for Photographers, 2014 Release, by Martin Evening.

Adobe itself offers a boatload of tutorials.

Check out this Web-site, too:

Good luck.

Julian Kost at Adobe, Phlearn.com, people talk about Lynda.com and KelbyOne. Lightroom for me at least is easy enough to start picking up but I am struggling with Photoshop although am making some headway. Good luck. Also have you in my thoughts for upcoming challenge.

Frank, early this morning, I went onto the Amazon website and ordered several DVD tutorials and one book ~~ all of which are to assist with my learning how to use Photoshop CC. The two separate DVDs are: "Learning Photoshop CC", a training DVD, sold by Infinite Skills and the other DVD, "Learning Adobe Lightroom 5", is also a training DVD sold by Infinite Skills and this DVD is to coincide with the Photoshop DVD. The book is "The Adobe Photoshop CC Book for Digital Photographers (2014 release) (Voices That Matter)" written by Kelby, Scott.. The book by Scott Kelby is the one that you and other UHH members had recommended to me and with further investigation on my part about the book, I had found that it is highly rated by many disciplines.

Thanks, Frank, and thanks to all for your valuable tips ! ~Doug~
