I agree with Dook. You will be sorely missed, and your work is some of the finest posted here. This post has been an eye opener for me as I'll have to admit I had not read and am shocked by the terms and conditions.

And my 2ยข worth -
Doing some memory refreshing on the T&C's of the site, I see where the "Website" pretty much owns everything posted which may explain their lack of assistance...

PARTIES TO THE TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT
Visitors, viewers, users, subscribers, members, affiliates, or customers, collectively referred to herein as "Visitors," are parties to this agreement. The website and its owners and/or operators are parties to this agreement, herein referred to as "Website."

SUBMISSIONS
Visitor agrees as a condition of viewing, that any communication between Visitor and Website is deemed a submission. By making a submission, Visitor grants the administration and the owners of the Website a worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licenseable and transferable license to use in any way, reproduce and distribute the submission and prepare derivative works of the submission without further permission. This includes commercial and non-commercial use of all submissions, including portions thereof, graphics contained thereon, or any of the content of the submission. Visitor agrees to only communicate that information to the Website, which it wishes to forever allow the Website to use in any manner as it sees fit. "Submissions" is also a provision of the Privacy Policy.

However, IMO, not removing 1 photo for you is a pretty cheap shot...

So, does this say the the website can sell your photos if they wish? Or give them away? Or am I reading that incorrectly?

You are not reading it wrong - they can do whatever they want with everything that is submitted/posted.

Wow! see what happens when you don't pay attention to the small print! I wonder if they have given away or sold some?

Sad to see you go Rob, but understand your reasons, this is not the first time this has happened, last time I recall was about a year ago when a then member was stealing others images and selling them via his websites. At the time a group of us discussed what we could do and one in particular decided to get a website post her work there and we could comment via e-mail.
I visited her site stole an image reworked it and posted it back she was gobsmacked. The site was not right click protected so anyone could download the images and do whatever, bear that in mind and check any site you use to see what protection you have

Not good Rob...I downloaded one of your pics and it's a pretty big file...
I never upload big files, if they're stolen the culprits won't get much of an image to play with...
Some hogs upload full size pics but they are resized to our monitor resolution so there isn't much point...mine are usually no bigger than 1000pixels high and about 400-700kb...I had one of my wildlife pics stolen and it won the Wildlife pic of the week on a site in Britain...after I complained they removed it from the site...
