Ras, I tried the 7ll for that shot, but those camels were really hauling A$$ and the 7ll just wasn't quite fast enough, so I had to borrow a 1DX for that action. It still had a tiny blur, so I had to break out my fastest f1.8 tele. The reason the camels were going so fast, they were being chased by those Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!!

As of the likes of many here -- I find the Canon vs Nikon "thing" - very humorous. And many other here have read my thoughts on this ... The camera Brand that you "choose" (and therefore DEFEND to the Death) is Governed by the Assortments of LENSES you have acquired for THAT brand of camera. And it is what you are use to and feel comfortable with.

Me ?? What do I consider the "BEST".... ??

CANON - of course .. Hands Down the Best.

However = you should see ALL the DAMN glassware that I have assembled.

:-)

The fight on UHH over Canon and Nikon has been going on as long as I can remember. Frankly, they're both outstanding camera systems, so, why does it really matter? Take either one it becomes the photographer than is the difference.

Your title says it all.

Oh, come on, Steve! It's always been a lively topic of conversation, and, unlike nuclear fission, most people are familiar enough to join in the discussion. It not much different than the Ford/Chevy or Remington/Winchester debates. Just too much fun to give it up!

But very boring after 50 years. I really think it's more about who's is bigger! There's an easy way to settle that, but someone would be really embarrassed in the end.

There is historical reason for the lively debate. Years and years ago the forerunners of these companies were partners. Canon made the bodies and Nikon made the lenses. Then they split and the rivalry was on.

You had better explain what sex is SS. Damn sure the Canon vs Nikon contributors jerk off whilst reading lens reviews and discussing the size of their sensor lol

A sensor is just a sensor.
Until you go full frame, you got nothing to brag about ?? !! hehehe

I certainly do not care one iota, in fact I never ever read a post about these cameras.
It means I can get through the daily digest a lot quicker!

Sharpshooter....The best camera I ever had may have been my Canon ftb. When it froze up and it came time to buy a new one, all the Canons had a scene selection gear(?) on top of the camera which I didn't like, so I bought a Nikon 6006 and have stuck with Nikon's ever since. If the Canons had been more traditional, I'd probably be shooting Canon today. There is one Canon lens which I wish Nikon had, and that's the 100-400mm L. A friend of mine has one and takes great photos with it, mostly on Antelope Island in Utah.
