Does anyone know where & how I can buy DigitalCameraWorld magazine in the USA, made for USA customers, with US prices, measurements, etc. And do you get and read this magazine? If so, how do you like it? Their internet site looks to me that this magazine is one of the best.

Wayne, I don't know where to get the Mag, but Barnes&Noble has the most mags I've seen anywhere. Take a look there. Maybe it's not a hard-copy mag.
As for the content, I've used their comprehensive reviews for equipment and feel they are factual, thorough and draw honest conclusions.
If the rest of the content is as good, I would concur that it's a very good mag. :thumbup:

I doubt that you can get this magazine tailored to the USA. You can easily get a subscription. I am not sure that the ads or editorial content are specific to America though. If you are near a large city which has specialty shops that stock international magazines, you may be able to find it there. Obviously, I am not an authority on what is available back in the States. Here in Thailand, this magazine is available in two forms. The English version is available in many larger bookstores for roughly $15.00 an issue. This is imported from the UK. A Thai version is also printed here in Thailand with a lot of the same content translated into Thai and some content unique to the Thai version.

I think the quick answer is you cannot. This is a magazine for the UK market. I am sure that it is available at bookstores that sell international magazines in the USA. It's also available by subscription. I have noticed that when they do reviews they quote prices in both pounds and dollars. It is one of my favorite photography magazines along with N Photo, which is also a UK magazine. Ironically, they do have a localized version of the magazine here in Thailand. A magazine publisher here publishes Digital Camera World in Thai. Most of the content is identical to the UK version. There is a certain amount of unique content. I haven't bought the Thai version for a while, but all the dvds included were in English. The UK version is a bit expensive at 485 Thai baht or about $14 US. The Thai version is 150 baht.

Some Barnes and Nobles and some Costcos have sold it in the past.It is a UK mag, they know they have US readers and often add comments, etc. to clarify for the US. Things like prices in pounds and dollars or both the European and US model numbers of gear they review.

It is one of the good magazines. Even if you get it just for the non-advertising content, it's worth the price. It will be on my Christmas list again this year--I just hope someone decides to get it for me.

Thanks-sharpshooter, ajarnbill, robertjerl, doduce for the responses. It's good to hear all you guys think this is a good magazine, as I do. I know it can be subscribed to at a very high price and it seems those who have subscribed have had quite a lot of trouble getting it sent properly. That's why I would like to find some place that handles it here in the USA regularly. I'll try the book sellers. Thanks again.

I found my first copy a week ago at Hudson News Stand at Grand Central Station, NYC. It is a great magazine, chock full of great articles, but, as stated, most pricing is in pounds, not dollars for the advertisements. As recommended I will check at Barnes and Noble.

The advertisements are in pounds, as you said. The prices in the reviews are usually quoted in both currencies. It is interesting to see that there are items that are much less expensive, when quoted in dollars.

For less than $6.00 an issue, you can get The Bundle, which includes the mag plus digital access. They say that pricing includes shipping to all countries they service, but all they show is the £ price. They could present their info more clearly.

Overall, it looks like a pretty good deal.
