Just title it something other than "Help" next time.
More specifically, ask the question.
If everyone used the word Help as a topic title, the site would look like this:

 Now that's funny!

I think MOV is an Apple format. Quicktime should play it on a Windows machine.

There also are free video format converters on sites like CNET

"Help!"

Help, I need somebody
Help, not just anybody
Help, you know I need someone, help

When I was younger (So much younger than) so much younger than today
(I never needed) I never needed anybody's help in any way
(Now) But now these days are gone (These days are gone), I'm not so self assured
(I know I've found) Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being 'round
Help me get my feet back on the ground
Won't you please, please help me

(Now) And now my life has changed in oh so many ways
(My independence) My independence seems to vanish in the haze
(But) But every now (Every now and then) and then I feel so insecure
(I know that I) I know that I just need you like I've never done before

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being 'round
Help me get my feet back on the ground
Won't you please, please help me

When I was younger so much younger than today
I never needed anybody's help in any way
(But) But now these days are gone (These days are gone), I'm not so self assured
(I know I've found) Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round
Help me, get my feet back on the ground
Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, ooh

I seldom use the video associated w/ the digital camera.....but we had flooding issues in our area so I took my Olympus PM2 and shot some video. It apparently shoots in MOV. The 20 sec videos were HUGE files.....I not only could figure out how to compress them, I couldn't email them OR post to FB.....and they wouldn't play in the standard video player on Windows 7.
I downloaded Wondershare video coverter but that really was little help, probably because I didn't know what I was doing AND unless you purchased it, a huge watermark was on the videos.
How do you post any of these MOV files when they are so big! Its the same w/ the panasonic G5 also.
Thanks

My Canon shoots in the same format and I play mine in Windows 7 with Windows Media Player all the time and I also am using W7. In WMP you can change the settings.
Look to see if your player is set to take MOV files. If not just click the box and yours should play.

One thing to remember. When HD was first being worked on it was discovered that to make a better picture, with video, it took much more data. That was the first major hurdle to overcome with cable and the televisions that are probably now in your home.

It was also discovered that this much data took much faster computers and that could be a problem for you as well if you're running an older computer. The same applies to the memory cards we now use... everything had to handle more data at a faster speed.

Thus to record HD video it's true, your files are going to be huge straight out of the camera.

I always edit before uploading to my You Tube channel so here's an example of what I'm getting.

From my Canon a 25 second video takes 143mb. However after editing to mp4 a 10 Min edited video is only 375mb.
If you recorded a 10 Min raw video it would be 1430mb, a huge difference but the picture quality remains.

Good luck

I use windows 7 and MOV will not play. Says WMP will not support it.
Is there a place to go in and change settings.....access how?

The best free video converter is "Hamster Free Video Converter". Another good one with even more file types is "Any Video Converter".
They don't have any tricks, watermarks or limitations.
You will have to play around with a format that will compress your file. I just created a video for a friend to document damage to his house and will have to burn the video to a dvd. A 20 second avi file is about 26MB. A 20 second mp4 file is about 60MB. If you find the right file type (maybe WMV?) you can get your video under the 25MB limit for gmail.
