I have a 568ex. Worked great for a couple of months, then all of a sudden, no flash, everything else works fine. I have looked around to see if I can find repair shop, but no luck. everyone says they are throw away flashes.
YMMV.

Not enough for a Nikon SB910

Ok.
YN560II.
$65.00 and they are a steal.
Shoot manually with wireless triggers or trigger them optically with another flash.
Lots of power, very flexible, and reliable.

For what you are looking to do please look at a Nikon SB700.
I did a set of test shots with both the YN-560III and the SB700. And the SB700 gave me much more natural photographs. You're not a Pro so the SB910 is not the flash for you.

Under identical settings.
The Yongnuo pics said I am a Flash photo, Harsh
The Nikon pics said I am a Well Lit photo, Smooth

Cheap. Work well and compliant with TTL if you have the correct camera/flash combination. I have one for the last two years, it has not failed me.
Adda a 'wong' dome and you get an outstanding flash unit.
Off camera I use Metz CT45 (2001 unit) and a CT60 (2004 unit).
Hello,
I have a Nikon D5000 with a 18-200mm. Will the TTL function work with this camera, lens, setup??

Does the 460III work with TTL? (NIkon 610 & D7000)
No. You need the YN-467 II or higher. Not sure which of these can be used as master. If you want high speed sync, its the Yongnuo YN-568EX.
I don't use their flash units, but one of my freelancers does - I do manual flash, but use Yongnuo simple triggers, which are really good for manual flash.
I have the 560111 like it very much, plan to buy the second one...not ttl

Really. Natural Flash, how can flash look natural? People are getting too used to technology even in the arts.

Me thinks you just have to
use the two units differently to get the same results. Say one bare and the other with a diffuser screen or bounce.
Great value for money, good system even if the controls are a little convoluted and the instruction leaflet produced in a language that no one can understand. You wont go wrong.
I have two YN568EX II, and one YN560-III. One of the 568's is on camera and the other two are slaves for portraits that I take. All 3 are excellent and work very well with my Canon 6D in E-TTL. They are all very powerful at GN58, and I would certainly recommend them.

I am looking at the Yongnuo flashes and would like input and recommendations for them. Thank you in advance.
I haven't had any but I understand that they are pretty good. strobist.bin did a review a year or so ago about them and said that the OEMs (Nikon and Canon) needed to watch out. I will say that while they do on and off camera ttl, it is my understanding that they will not do I-ttl.
I've been using a YN468-II for over a year and love it. I think for the price it can't be beat. It does everything I need it to do so far. I did see some unfortunate reviews and was a bit skeptical but gambled and I'm glad I did.
