Seeing that you have an E-5 I was wondering if you have tried your 4/3 lenses on the E-M1 and how that works out? I have a an E-3 with two Lumix Leica lenses but have yet to buy an E-M1.
When I bought the E-M1, the staff in the store asked me what lens I wanted to buy with it, and they were a bit surprised when I told them "None!"
Instead, I got the adapter to use the 4/3 lenses. The two I worked with in those early weeks, were the 14-54mm and the 50-200mm. Both work just fine, and all the features are still there. Because I still use the E-5 as well (mostly for tripod work, 'cause it's a heavy beast), twice now, I had the 14-54 lens on the E-5 when I also wanted it on the E-M1.
So my first purchase after the camera was the 12-40mm M4/3 lens.
I've also checked out the flash I use with the E-5, FL-50R and as a remote flash, it works great.
After I get the 40-150mm lens in November, next on my wish-list is the M 4/3, 1.4 teleconverter. That will give me a reach of 210mm - should be enough for now ;-)
A couple of months ago, I bought David Busch's book for the E-M1 - Excellent book, but dry reading. So I tend to use it as a reference book.
Just yesterday, someone here on the Hog recommended Gary Friedman's book for this camera, it's only $20 and is easy to read:
http://www.friedmanarchives.com/OlympusE-M1/index.htmIt comes with a separate "booklet" for the version 2.0 firmware update.
Also, it being downloaded as a pdf file, and epub file AND a mobi file, you can read it wherever you want, or even print it out!
Thank you, to whoever made that recommendation!
