Re read the first post on this thread. It is all about blaming Mr Obama for this disease thing and thats just too stupid.

I think the Executive branch of government IS responsible for executing the laws passed by congress, and as Commander in Chief to defend the sovereignty of the nation and its borders. Our present President has chosen, in various cases, to fail to execute the laws passed by Congress, because he does not agree with them. In the case of immigration, he has chosen to allow the laws to be broken, and for people to come here and stay here in violation of the law of the land. If these persons have been responsible for crimes, (and they have) and the spread of diseases, (and they have), then Mr Obama bears culpability as the facilitator of these insults to the rights and well-being of the American people. There is nothing "stupid" about that.

[quote=Bruno2013]"Are you saying CDC advised halting flights from Liberia? If so, when?"

1. You read the sentence wrong. Try again.

2. Your answer to another point was this: "All isolation will do, said Frieden, is "enable the disease to spread more widely"

There were no facts in the article supporting the comment.

   I agree. To some, the Almighty Buck means more to themselves, even if it does put the nation in jeopardy. They, too, belong in prison.

Why don't you just say what you really feel? You don't like it that there's a black man in the WHITE house and not to be pun-y but.. "just call a spade a spade". You bitch and complain about every thing he says, does, wears, eats, drinks and everywhere he or his family goes.
Heck I'm surprised no one has complained that he breathes (though I'm sure most of those who posted here wish he'd stop that too). Grow up and just admit it bothers you that you've been left behind by a majority who don't have a problem with people of color.

It always happens when the Left runs out of ammo they fall back on race. How then do you explain how many of us want to see Ben Carson in the white house. And he is an "all black" man not a half and half. Obama is just as white as he is black.. I prefer to see his white half as the inept part. That is the part responsible for raising him and imparting the values and opinions he holds. His black daddy was not there for his growing up, but his white mom and grandparents were. If anything it was those white people responsible for little Barry's formation.

No, I greatly prefer Ben Carson's REAL black background. A poor single black woman in Baltimore, who raised two boys to have real sound values and grow up as well grounded black men. I WANT a REAL black man in the white house. Go Ben!

If I could, I'd vote for him, too. He has his head screwed on tightly. He talks a lot of sense.
I believe the poster who accused us of racism was merely voicing his own thoughts, and wanted others to shoulder his burden. I hope he has retreated back under his rock.

Yes I have noticed that the only people who seem obsessed by Obama's color rather than his values and ideas, are the people who are accusing others of racism. I see the part of Obama I dislike is the overprivileged, narcissistic, "progressive", Harvard snob, white man part of him. There is nothing about him that is characteristic of the down to earth, honest, Godfearing, people of color that I know and love as my friends.

After all the lies from the Obama administration ("you can keep your doctor", "we lost all her emails" etc) one wonders if the CDC is downplaying Ebola because it goes against Obama's agenda to put in place amnesty and open borders right after the election.

The CDC is not downplaying Ebola. The CDC's statements regarding Ebola have been accurate.

I am not so sure about that. They have been so assured that everything can be handled adequately and safely, which is just not true. This patient was sent home from the ER with symptomatic Ebola. The fomites from his illness were not cleaned up promptly or properly. Already a news cameraman in Africa has contracted the disease, and is being shipped home - no intimacy with a patient from a camera! As usual, the spinners of the truth are hard at work putting lipstick on the pig!

We've had porous borders since, well, as far back as I can remember. This is simply the latest problem. I don't like Obama an iota, but every President who's come before him shoulders an equal part of the blame...

Obama really isn't doing anything that others haven't done. In the interest of bipartisanship, those "others" would include people like George I, George II and Reagan...

The CDC has a good grip on things and reports by Dr. Anthony Fauci (Director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease) have been accurate.

The virus has been in Africa for years, and there have been periodic previous outbreaks in Africa that have been contained. It is known how Ebola virus is spread, and the current outbreak, although wide spread more that previous ones, will be contained, too.
