Did you ever hear about the hundreds of thousands of native Americans who died of measles as the European colonists entered this hemisphere? The Colonists rarely sickened at all. That's the thing about viruses. They can be innocently carried by populations that have developed some resistance to them but devastate a population which is susceptible. This is especially true of enteric viruses and influenza. The kids who entered our Southern border were immediately dispersed throughout the country. There are about a thousand recent young immigrants now in North Carolina, an estimated 500 or so in Charlotte alone. School just started. Just wait a few months for this to develop.
Did you ever hear about the hundreds of thousands ... (show quote)
Millions of people travel all over the world and it goes on every day.

The Central American nations have better records than the US for childhood immunizations, if I am not mistaken.

In any case, as I said, this particular scare story is without foundation.

Your arguments have no bering on the concern that a virus has traveled to the US and may infect children.

I'm happy that you are so confident in your belief that there is really no problem and I sincerely hope your are right.

I have a question for you, are you a political liberal? Never mind, don't answer that.

WELL, does anybody remember when Obama said he was going to fundamentally change the country, WELL

Did anyone see Fox News when Dr. Ben Carson was asked what Obamas goal was. And Dr. Carson stated "that Obamas goal was to destroy this country", and he has done a pretty good job of it. Well I'm still going up grade from my T2i to a 70D before its too late.

I didn't say what you claim I said.

I said that this particular scare story has no foundation. It is nonsense. It is a hoax.

No, I am not a liberal.

What is the evidence that this virus was introduced by the immigrant children? Before I start accusing the president of all sorts of awful things (I am not a Republican), I would like to see some evidence.

Does any one have any?

Hmmm...Was that statement racist? From border crossing to presidential bashing. Bitch bitch bitch. Looks like you need to wait for the next vote to come along - until then keep a-bitchin, like it is going to make a difference. If you dislike America so much, come live across the compound with me in Saudi Arabia, it won't take you long to realize, you don't have it that bad. Oh, and don't forget to appreciate your freedom to downgrade your government - I'm not convinced you know how fortunate you are . You are proof America allows you be racist. Enjoying the view from that ivory tower? Sad indeed.

No I think he really believes in his Progressive Socialist transformation of America - no matter what the cost in suffering of the American people. That the result will be a more egalitarian society even though it may cost decades of grief and the lives of many, the end result will be a fairer, more just America. The fact that the man is basically an arrogant, narcissistic naive with no real integrity and no understanding of either economics or government, only facilitates his mission.

I hate to say this, but I think you nailed it.

Your entire statement is based totally on your own unsubstantiated non supported conclusions / facts. You are making a conclusion to support your prejudice about a situation that is not called into fact.. I/E that the disease/ virus has come from all those immigrant children entering the country. Even when you are given information that your conclusion is not correct, you then double down and continue the same path ..
Long ago a bad man in another country said, if you tell a lie based on a false truth and tell it long enough .. people will come to think of it as a truthful fact .. It's called Propaganda ..

I suggest you have better information and "REAL" facts in your grasp before you start spewing your unsubstantiated facts and conclusions and trying to incite more hate. We should be trying to find a solution to the immigration problem. Both "problems" are NOT connected in any way shape or form... Shame on you for trying to tie them together and shame on all those that followed you on your parade..

The new enterovirus, introduced by the migrant children from Central America is now causing Polio - like paralysis that is permanent. Allowing hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals to invade your nation is irresponsible, to say the least. But, then putting those people on buses and airliners, to be sent to every corner of this country without a long period of confinement, in which they could be monitored for signs of disease--is criminal.

In his haste to score political points with Latino voters, President Obama may very well have doomed thousands of our children to a lifetime of paralysis.

CataMarley: "I have seen credible reports that DO incriminate the immigrant introduction of this new virus that is causing children to become extremely ill, including dying (and now there are polio like paralysis cases)." If you have seen these reports, please provide citations and sources. Who wrote them? Where were they published? What documentation supports these claims? Facts and evidence are needed here. If you've got the evidence show us. Baseless assertions and fuzzy feelings and beliefs are not facts.

A.J.: "For himself, Golf is the top priority, followed by vacations"

Well, no really. Here are the facts: As of Aug. 26, Obama: 140 days. Bush: 407 days (381 at the ranch and 26 at Kennebunkport) thru the same point in his presidency.

More perspective: Adding in Camp David: Obama: 223 days total thru Aug 2014; Bush (for 8 years): 1,024 days. Not apples to apples, but interesting nonetheless.

And more: For 8 years: Clinton: 174 days. Reagan: 390 (349 at his ranch and 41 in Palm Springs). Repiublicans don't seem to be able to hack the workload, don'tcha think?

Get the facts Jack before you post.

Right. And we all know how forthcoming our government is with information, and how they ALWAYS tell the TRUTH! They assured us that no cases of Ebola would get into the country. Even though it was Obama who threw out the previous protocols for quarantining people with diseases entering the country, we were assured that these rules were unnecessary and unfair. Yes everything will be fine, little children. Just trust us!

I know that the British has banned flights coming in from Ebola stricken countries in Africa to protect their citizens; Obama just doesn't care, unless it's about Golf, of course.
