Welcome to Day 59 :) Today let's talk about inspiration. Being a great photographer, whether for a profession, or just a fun hobby, requires that you have an inspirational vision. How do you get inspired? Do you search the internet for interesting places to go? Do you just get in the car and drive around and stop when you see something that catches your eye? Or do you just go about your day
with camera in tow .. just in case? Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving, moments in time that are
captured forever. Photographs remember little things... long after you have forgotten everything. What inspires you to grab the camera and capture that moment forever?
Me I am inspired by beauty, and as I have said more than once "Beauty can be found in all things." Seeing and composing that beauty is what separates the snapshots from the photographs. Here are a few examples of what inspires me.

i actually gave this a lot of thought..quite a deep question. At first it was of course nature but then i went deeper. i found this first pic at a local cemetery before work.It is from the 1800's when Yellow Fever struck. If you were not Catholic you were buried outside the city gates in this cemetery.. Well this head stone says it all to me.

The second is from the same cemetery...you can only go in when volunteers man it...too fragile. Again i don't feel words are needed.

The third is an old building made of tabby...which is sand, lime , water and oyster shells...a very unique way to build but very effective against enemy invasion. The door is the important part. What is behind the door? What is closing or opening in my life?

Of course comments and helpful criticism welcome as always...

I spend a lot of time reflecting...... I love the changing of the seasons, because the cycles of life serve their purposes of replenishing the earth and bringing forward new beauty....My first picture is of a winter tree in the middle of a cornfield. My second is of a bridge reflecting in the water....The third is an old barn I found.. I wonder if there was ever a barn dance in there.... and the fourth is an old tractor, that I am sure did its fair share of work, and many benefited from the fruits of its labor....

I hate to admit it, but it has been cloudy here so I DID pp these to get a little interesting color........bad girl, very bad girl

Running around a bit today to get ready for a car trip to Florida on Thursday, so I haven't had the time to look a each picture just yet, but what I've seen it's beautiful so far! A little "under the weather" today and not feeling up to par, hope I'm not coming down with something just in time for the trip!

Hope you feel better and get to enjoy the trip!

Some sugarhouses. Some of you old timers from way up north might get tears in your eyes upon seeing the tubes. It is sad but when you're hanging anywhere up to 50,000 taps you'd never make it with buckets

What are the tubes used for ? Collecting the sap ? I've never seen that before. .. pg 10

What has happened is that tubes replace buckets. These tubes begin at 5/16'' on the further trees and they connect to bigger hoses and on and on and then the tubes, which have become hoses, windup in a pump house and from there the sap is pumped to a holding tank near the cabin. By doing this they can tap tens of thousands of trees and only a couple of fellows need to be there. Sort of like milking cows. Near here there is a family who tap 150,000 and use two mountains. Traditional sugarin' has now become an antique way except for the smaller bush. A friend has 1200 and all on buckets. This area of Québec furnishes 30% of the world's maple consumption. And not to rile up you Vermonters, we sell syrup to VT. Did you actually believe that a small state like VT could produce ''Pure Vermont Maple Syrup'' for a whole country?

On my failed outting to the arboretum yesterday .. the hubby was driving or I never would have spotted this place. I was definitely inspired to go back and find it and photograph it. Sorry about so many photos but I love this place .. funny how life throws us a curveball and we hit a homerun isn't it.
And I want to thank Nan for inspiring me to stop post processing all my photos .. that forced me to take a good look at how I was taking them ... none of these have any pp work on them .. all I had to do was resize them smaller.

Besides echoing the sentiment that All Ya'll are inspiring I need to add a few more of my personal photo fetishes.
Sticks and stones for one and I don't care what trail I travel there is no way to pass up Gnarly!

Sticks and Stones
Sticks and Stones...

If you could only tell me your stories.
If you could only tell me your stories....

I am always inspired by nature, by its beautiful birds and wild creatures. Every day I go for a drive hunting and hoping for some chance encounter with some of natures creatures. Yesterday I came upon three or four beautiful White-tailed deer. I couldn't believe my eyes when first one just stood there and I was able to capture a stationary picture of it there in the woods alongside the roadside.

Nice shot ! Some times you can sit there all day and not get a shot like that !
