Welcome to Day 59 :) Today let's talk about inspiration. Being a great photographer, whether for a profession, or just a fun hobby, requires that you have an inspirational vision. How do you get inspired? Do you search the internet for interesting places to go? Do you just get in the car and drive around and stop when you see something that catches your eye? Or do you just go about your day
with camera in tow .. just in case? Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving, moments in time that are
captured forever. Photographs remember little things... long after you have forgotten everything. What inspires you to grab the camera and capture that moment forever?
Me I am inspired by beauty, and as I have said more than once "Beauty can be found in all things." Seeing and composing that beauty is what separates the snapshots from the photographs. Here are a few examples of what inspires me.

Colorful plants

Things that have seen better days

Beautiful pictures to get us started. They are all very nice but for some reason the old truck really appeals to me.

The first 2 are something that caught my eye yesterday...Our plum trees are blooming so I took some shots and am posting a couple of my favs. And naturally I have to post a rooster for Sher...one I don't think you've seen before...he's the baby around here. Then I'm off to bed

The beauty in nature inspires me. Winter is a more difficult time of year for me to get inspired. But these challenges have helped me to work on that. Thanks alot.

My favourite way is having two cameras with me and cruising around. I am presently working on a calendar project and I also do YouTubes by using my photos and adding music. Have over 80 of them. For my Y.T. projects I am collecting barns, scenesalong the St. Lawrence River, country roads, sugar houses and a few more. By doing this it gives me a chance to use and practice all kinds of settings.

The beauty of it all is finding new scenes, new creations and hidden places.

Of course it sure does use up gas!

I am always inspired by nature, by its beautiful birds and wild creatures. Every day I go for a drive hunting and hoping for some chance encounter with some of natures creatures. Yesterday I came upon three or four beautiful White-tailed deer. I couldn't believe my eyes when first one just stood there and I was able to capture a stationary picture of it there in the woods alongside the roadside.

The white-tailed Deer deer I had found didn't stand still for long. their action was set in the departure mode. Leaping and jumping deer were challenging subjects to focus upon, but what amazing beauty these beautiful deer presented to me.

And then they were gone. it is easy to see where their naming came from with all those beautiful tails flashing as they returned to the woods.

Sherrie57...I am always amazed by the beauty of the desert.
thank you for sharing it.
NOW I must say you are one silly girl..YOU INSPIRE ME!
My dad used to make family movies and we always had so much fun watching them, maybe that had an influence.
I used to be an event photographer (not pro of course)...but there had to be a special reason/event for me to take a camera....something I wanted to remember/document..or something that I knew would promise beauty..like a visit to a garden, vacation, birthday, pet, special person. I like to vacation and travel and used to lug a camera and multiple lenses. Seemed like I had to go somewhere special to find the beauty....Now I find it everywhere.
Since Jan 1 2012 I take my Olympus with me almost everywhere. If I dont have it, I feel like something is missing....I made a special purse to hold and protect my camera, and there is room for wallet and keys...what more does a girl need?
