All mine are nonprofessional-just for the fun of it. Inspiration comes from all manner of things but mostly natural and man made creations.

I ordered LOLA last year.
Here is the funny thing. Im not much of a purse carrier...used to carry a wallet in my back pocket, until I went on my honeymoon..then I went BIG with a fanny pack.
I ordered LOLA in black...but after months of waiting my impulsive self took over and I accepted it in turquoise. All my friends cracked up because it was loud and big. I carried it for a few weeks and gave up. Lola is in the closet.
I eventually cut off all the straps of my olympus bag which is basically just big enough for the camera and inserted it in a normal size denim purse my mom gave me and ITS A PERFECT FIT and the camera is well protected and there is room for phone, keys and a little bit more.

thank you for sharing it.
NOW I must say you are one silly girl..YOU INSPIRE ME!
My dad used to make family movies and we always had so much fun watching them, maybe that had an influence.
I used to be an event photographer (not pro of course)...but there had to be a special reason/event for me to take a camera....something I wanted to remember/document..or something that I knew would promise beauty..like a visit to a garden, vacation, birthday, pet, special person. I like to vacation and travel and used to lug a camera and multiple lenses. Seemed like I had to go somewhere special to find the beauty....Now I find it everywhere.
Since Jan 1 2012 I take my Olympus with me almost everywhere. If I dont have it, I feel like something is missing....I made a special purse to hold and protect my camera, and there is room for wallet and keys...what more does a girl need?

Rivernan, check this out - I imagine your 'camera purse' is more creative than this. I need one!

That is so funny! And I wanted the turquoise or red; the on-line store must not keep much inventory. I usually slip my essentials in my camera bag. Sounds like I should just forget the chic camera bag!

I have loved photography since I was a kid and used to look through the war albums my step dad had ...he took wonderful photos during WWll and the Korean war. My first camera was a nikon Fe2 and I saved and saved to buy that camera. I still have it. What inspires me is the beauty and majesty of Gods natural world. Alaska is inspiring as the last frontier and even winter has a majesty all it's own. I like finding scenes that seem artistic...or tell a story..wild life, street people, elderly , old places ...Im very eclectic..I have a back problem and two total knee replacements so I cant go climbing mountains and go hiking anymore...and I dont have good vision or enjoy driving in the winter so now I sort of have to be at the mercy of someone who will take me picture taking as my hubby calls it.

Welcome to Day 59 :) Today let's talk about inspiration. Being a great photographer, whether for a profession, or just a fun hobby, requires that you have an inspirational vision. How do you get inspired? Do you search the internet for interesting places to go? Do you just get in the car and drive around and stop when you see something that catches your eye? Or do you just go about your day
with camera in tow .. just in case? Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving, moments in time that are
captured forever. Photographs remember little things... long after you have forgotten everything. What inspires you to grab the camera and capture that moment forever?
Me I am inspired by beauty, and as I have said more than once "Beauty can be found in all things." Seeing and composing that beauty is what separates the snapshots from the photographs. Here are a few examples of what inspires me.

On one level, I could just say that flowers and landscapes inspire me.
But I was taught also to ask, somewhat philosophically/abstractly, artistically...WHY do these things inspire me. Here are some thoughts.

I too would say that the primary thing that inspires me is beauty.
I am drawn to drama...hence I gravitate to backlit flowers, glowing colors, interesting light, strong compositions if I can find them, and some mystery...(e.g. deep shadows or bokeh)
I like lots of color, preferably warm..hence flowers and butterflies.
I like transparency.
I like living things, and organic shapes and lines....I am seldom inspired by buildings and straight lines.
I like things that have a rich feel to them.

Here are some favorites...some of which I have posted before, but they a representational.

Perfect.... I think you have achieved drama in every one of them

Our ramblin'. Beautiful day, mid 20's, no wind wall-to-wall blue sky, in my turck with my pod and we rambled.

''Hey, do you know where we are?''

''Nope''

Do you care?''

''Nope''

Now is that ramblin' with a pod or what?

Lessee here....whatta we got to offer?

Let's start out with an abandonned farm house out on the St. Olivier Rd. The last shot is the road leading from the house into town at Ste-Henédine

I have always loved anything to do with art and have found inspiration on this site to manipulate my pictures in photoshop for even more fun. Photogrl57 has inspired me to look even deeper and explore my camera even more, I love this site it's full of inspiration for me!

Wow, you've really learned how to use photoshop, maybe I need to open that book I bought to help me....
