Thanks so much John. I worry about boring people with the same old thing. I'm glad you enjoyed these.

These are great shots! I have never seen a shot of a hummingbird sitting on a limb. I have only seen them hovering at a feeder. Great find.
I really appreciate the time you've taken to look and comment Margo. Thank you.
I'm fortunate that these birds have a place to rest between feedings. Hopefully they'll bring their babies along one of these days.

Wonderful detail and the colors are beautiful! I love looking at their little faces and eyes that always look a bit angry.
Thanks so much Carla. It's amazing that such little birds could have so much character. I always enjoy watching them.

I love all bird pictures in UHH, but these hummers you shot are really great with lots of detail. I was wondering why so many hummingbirds come thru your yard; do you or your neighbor have sugar syrup available?
Thanks for looking and commenting. I appreciate it.
Let's say I make it worthwhile for them to visit. I recently noticed the neighbor is also feeding them. We have another neighbor who has bee hives, so we're feeding bees, as well, :-)

Beyond the usual hummer shots...good job!
Incredibly done. I liked them all.
Great color and detail. I have only seen hummingbirds a couple of times and would love to get pictures like yours. Keep shooting!
Love these little guys, and what beautiful shots. A challenge to photograph, and how great you have some options. Last year I attached branches to my feeder, and that helps. This year only one has opted to return. Still hoping for more.

Vicki, your pictures are great. love them all. I spotted a hummingbird in our yard yesterday. very excited. I am sitting at the kitchen table here now and just saw one at our feeder. spring is here. my sister lives in cloverdale, California and they also have a lot of hummers. when I come to visit I sit on their front porch and watch the hummingbird wars. deb
I absolutely love these pice and these birds. Definitely a challenge to photograph, but well worth it. TY
