Hi Don...I've looked at Best Buys too. They're cameras are all locked down...but will go again and ask to hold one. I have an old Minolta that is great but not digital. And few develop anymore. Just WalGreens and the quality is low. Very disheartening. Thanks for your advice!! S.

Hi there! I've looked at the Nikon 3200 lately too. It's around 500.oo. I'm clueless, but am reading all your posts to try and learn. :)

Welcome to the Hog, Realist101. In addition to Nikon & Canon, you might consider Sony DSLR's. For a lens, consider one of the longer Tamron macro's. B&H has always been a reliable source for gear.

hi Erv...When it's done, one painting will be a life size horse oil. I hope to finish it this summer. I will probably have to be back from it a ways? I don't know. My other work is normal sizes. :) Thanks for your reply! Susan

Hello to all who posted replies! I just ordered a Canon EOS T5...it was on QVC with a bundle that includes a zoom lens, macro mode, and USB, bag, cleaner, let's see. Has everything someone needs to get started? I remember someone said not to order bundles but this sounds like a good deal? I just hope I can learn to use it. Sounded easy according to the sales people of course. I send a huge thank you to each of you!!! Happy photo taking! Susan

Hi Gitzmo! I re-read your advice and wanted to let you know what I found? WHile half asleep the other night QVC came on with a Canon EOS T5 for sale? I watched that and ordered. It does come with a zoom lens, macro mode, bag, USB, etc...I guess a bundle. I couldn't resist, and thought I'd let you know I wasn't just going against your advice. Because I really really appreciate it. Just seemed a great buy? I can't wait to try it out and post here for more kind thoughts. Thank you again so much. Still love your fox pix! :) Happy spring!
