p8 Thank you, Dan. Wanted to line the tree limb up with the cloud - amazingly parallel, I thought.

Ok ...here are different versions of this shot....
The original was shot with my Panasonic Leica DMC-FZ200 Fixed Super Zoom.....F 2.8 , 1/320Exposure time, ISO 200, 45 mm
It was a cold icy day...below zero and the trees were actually pale looking and the snow was almost without detail....I liked the stark look of the original...but here are some of the tweaks I did
p9 Ha Ha - love the earthquake!

I have followed your series of sunset shots Pat....they are beautiful....and love the silhouetted tall tree shot....you moved well given the amount of time you had to work with. It is a beautiful sky with those beautifully lit up clouds!
p11. Thank you, Irene, so much. Have been having my share of "self doubt" lately.

Bushido,
I am SO happy to see this particular Challenge, it is what I've yearned for now since a few months. We need to learn and this one is beautiful. Thank you so much
This appears to be more in the style of what originally started the Daily Challenges. Good to see, but I guess it is time for me to bow out and quit following the Challenges for 2 reasons:
1> I have a slow connection and some force us to download the full size images by 'hotlinking' to other sites such as Flickr for viewing their photos.
2> Others are apparently "stealing" images posted here and from other places and presenting/selling them as their own. Please read the full topic here:

the cloud pattern against the branches made the picture.
Wondered if you had taken a few steps to your left (?) the branch would have shifted over more into the clear sky.
light changes so fast at this time of day
..and you were in semi country!
Kind thanks for the comments on the snap of the toy assembly project.
I have a soft spot for snapshots. Most of my oldie collection are everyday snapshot cameras.
No Maine sunset here yesterday, one of those big blue bowl Western skies then darkness.
Last light coming in the front porch window looked promising. Backlit vase and orchid stem complete with window reflections and dirt, I'm a realist.
Looked more colorful B4 posting, too thin here (edit)
edit crop, straighten, clone on noticeable nasties, slight vigneting and colour warmed and saturated slightly.
Camera Kodak D3600 so all on its settings.

Couldn't get more that direction :( and avoiding another tree in line of vision and a pole!

This makes me sick! Your bowing out but especially the news on the link.
YAY Bushido !!!! I was hoping y'all would come back to this .... it is so much more of a challenge to learn to use your camera efficiently. It sometimes seems I've forgotten much more than I ever knew lol. I'm heading out the door for a walk right now and I will post after :)
Drove through a low white out yesterday, stopped and caught it. Came home, looked around, Ace reminded me of Gaussian, I reminded myself of Plastic Wrap and that's how it went
