Plan to read the tutorials tonight and hope to set something up tomorrow. Meanwhile....
Only just started combing thru this challenge and knew before I saw who posted this that it was you! Very nice. :-D You make me want to drag out my son's violin and do some shots with my new lens! Thanx for the kick in the lower half to make me go shoot!

This has always been one of my favorite things to do... Having control over the composition and lighting leaves so much room for setting a mood......
Love the effect you always do to your incredible work. Could you enlighten me on how you do it?

I am not sure if this is classed as still life or not. I used glycerin and a bit of food coloring and dropped it into the fish tank. Then decided to make some abstracts. Also dropped some colorful buttons into the tank. They are not spectacular, but wanted you to know I was trying new things....oh yes...and some strawberries.
love the buttons!

Went out yesterday with my new lens to a couple of local antique shops and came across this beautiful chandelier. Used only available 20' high light and no flash for these shots. Only cropped, lightened, slightly sharpened and the top two adjusted tonal properties but left the tone to keep the third one antique looking. Also had to shoot the coke glasses, the shop had them arranged this way and I just had to shoot them. Again no flash all were hand held.
I know, MORE Christmas shots!!! Well I just had to post these. Sorry....
Definately!!! When we were there, we asked how long it would run. They said the lease is for 30 years, so you have some time to make plans! It's right next to the Space Needle and the fair grounds have all kinds of activities going on! The mono-rail runs right to this area!

I only had trouble downloading photos the first day when I forgot to resize them lol. I just spent the last 7 1/2 hours trying to "fix" my comp. Good thing we don't live on the ocean any longer ... it would be fish food right now haha.
