Irene, you've had a really great challenge here. There are a lot of super examples of still life photography with some really nice treatments and effects posted by many tallented people. You all know who you are and just so you know, I really really enjoyed them. Mine were mediocre at best but had fun thinking about them and experimenting with a few different things none successful enough to post here, but got some juices flowing.

Here are the last of mine for "still life"....

pg 33. T'was fun lhammer, and without all of you great photographers I would not have learned anything. Lol....I have buckets of non-successful shots!

I really like your shot of your neat and orderly shed....and the poor bird that did not make it.

4 pics eh! Are you sure things weren't moving! LOL! #3...might have been a cooper hawk too! We have one hanging around here and boy do the birds get quiet when he appears!

Can tell you are an experienced photographer! Especially like the shots inside of the crates. You got the lighting down to a science!

As I viewed more pages, I see further examples and again (still) the magic in each shot! Think you could teach us all to "SEE" the possibilities in our pictures! Keep coming back to each Challenge and give us your take on each subject! Thanks for joining in the fun!

Pg.31 Thank you so much lnightng7... I really am an introverted artist trying to express myself.. I do not consider myself "experienced" but "experimental"... When I look at things I want to photograph I try to envision them as a framed painting that a painter spent many hours on.. The lighting is
always the key in my eyes, not only the amount of light, but the direction.. I know it sounds obvious, but I see it ignored a lot... I do enhance lighting and shadows in post to relay it where it may not have been when I took a shot, but where I thought it belonged or the intensity... A humble thank you .. :)

Wahawk, are you trying to borrow money from me? :)

You are too kind... I am very critical of my own images, so I run them past my Wife as a buffer... I said it before, and I will say til' the the day I die.. We do not see our own work the way others do... Sometimes I wish I could... Thanks Wahawk....
