Dear Nightski and ladies and gentlemen of the Jury.

I posted an image and people provided their opinions on it.

I strongly suspect that were it an image posted by one or another of the inner circle, it would have attracted much bowing and slobbering and foot kissing but because most know that I am rather not into such frivolity, attempts were made to provide some semblance of intelligent opinion.

Even a rank novice would immediately recognize the image as being a high quality portrait regardless of the media and few would venture into the limelight of purporting to be qualified to critique such an image.

We must remain aware that it is not only the OP who is taking heed of what might be said. There are doubtless tens, if not hundreds of members who soak this stuff up like sponges.

I have been accused of setting a trap.

Red faces all around but rather than a bit of self-conscious grinning and a quiet admission that I might have a point the thin skinned little petals who have yearned to have one over me made a big stink out of it.

With a most convincing display of both insecurity and a lack of maturity I was banned.

But rather than making the issue go away you put the least likely diplomat at your disposal on the job.

I posted the image to make a statement, to perhaps cause people to look at themselves and apply a little more analytical thought before providing their opinions.

I have voiced my concerns regarding the suitability of some of the critique offered many times in the past and that this issue has so convincingly demonstrated that those concerns have basis should perhaps have been treated with a view to remedy, but instead you shot the messenger.

You had a vision but instead you created a problem.

You asked too many people for their opinions and let them get too close.

I can only imagine the flurry of feathers and exchange of PM’s that have occurred over this.

You would have been far better off to take charge of your section and perhaps with the help of Country’s Mama, formulate a clear methodology and direction for it.

If lighthouse is somehow to be believed, he was not delegated to be your mouthpiece yet you were quite content to have him do your dirty work for you. And don’t think your very conspicuous silence went unnoticed, it is a clear example of your complete lack of leadership.

Lighthouse accused me (and certain others whom he failed to name) of attempting to undermine the PC & A section but I would confidently say that you and your confederates are achieving that all by yourselves.

In my statement which is the substance of this thread I wrote “I wish to say that I regret having caused this uproar and offer my sincere apologies for any inconvenience or offense which I have caused”.

I said that in all sincerity however that is the limit of my apology on this.

I posted the image to make a point.

That the point turned out to be so decisively driven home is the direct result of the very problem to which my concerns were directed.

For that I do not apologize.

I don’t eat humble pie, not for you and not for your jury of eleven.

If the extent of my apology is not enough to satisfy you or yours let others judge your sincerity.

What is the average age of membership here? 6? 10?

Take a couple of weeks away to finish up editing and celebrate the holiday with family and friends only to pop in and find adults fighting like children over who said what and what they really mean. I can't believe I came back to such childish behavior, somethings never change.

I think I would rather deal with 16 year old teen girls and their self appearance/body issues than some of the bull that happens here. Teen girls can be talked of the ledge, here their is always someone trying to be the top dog and throw their weight around.

Okay,Annie girl et al...whoever wants to come out now and claim shock and distaste and accuse other people of "fighting like children",where were you before or during the strife? I was hit with this shock at Christmas,never realizing what had occurred...I don't even know when it happened,days before,as shocked as anyone else.
If you had misgivings about this section as many of us did when it began,where were you? Did you nevertheless try to ignore as much as possible the flaws that were obvious and try to participate in the photography without the drama,and offer some of your time to try to make it work or to improve it?
Do you have anything constructive to say now that you would like to offer as a remedy? If so,please come forward with your recommendations since you sat day by day watching and never tried to help make it work as if you thought others should do it for you.

What surer way to try to make sure someone turns away, than by insulting them, and then challenging them to have input and help?
