Best wishes to you! Great article. We have a couple camera shops around here. I use the closest one (it's a fairly new store) and wouldn't think about using Best Buy again. It's a shame there aren't more around here.

Best Buy should be used as the REASON for opening a camera store. They have the inventory, but consistently refuse to hire or train "qualified" employees for the department. BB's policy is that everyone working in the store is required to work each and every department equally. This is why you almost never get to talk to the same person twice. The lack of expertise actually drives customers away! There is not a week goes by that I do not hear that exact statement from a customer. And the proliferation of FALSE information spewed out by many of their sales people just trying to make the sale is literally a crime! I have heard horror stories of their incompetence and also have a few choice first-hand experiences with them that literally scare me!

Very nice article Carter and I hope it brings you lots of business. I feel very fortunate to have met you and personally benifited from you expertise. Anybody who stops by your store will certainly be back again and will spread the word too about the great service I am sure! Nice picture and a great hat!!!! I will treasure mine always....

Thank you.

As of right now I only have my personal version, and one rental lens of that model. I do get them from time to time, but they always sell fast as they are a very popular lens. I certainly love mine and am never without it.

Just thought I would pass on a quick blurb about my little camera store being featured in the business section of the local paper, the largest paper in our secluded state. I wasn't impressed with the picture they used, but it was a blizzard outside so they couldn't take a shot of the store itself.
Its been a pretty slow month so far and I hope this drives a bit of Christmas business out my way. Nothing like a little free advertising!

Neat! Nice to put a face to the name...

Well I wish you well. If your "in store" customer service is anything like the sound, helpful advice provided on UHH, you will be an unqualified success. I would love to take your YNP seminar someday....

Best to you.

Congratulations. I hope your business does extremely well, and I believe it will. I used to live in Glasgow way back in the late 60's. Loved Montana.
