Featured in local newspaper

Just thought I would pass on a quick blurb about my little camera store being featured in the business section of the local paper, the largest paper in our secluded state. I wasn't impressed with the picture they used, but it was a blizzard outside so they couldn't take a shot of the store itself.
Its been a pretty slow month so far and I hope this drives a bit of Christmas business out my way. Nothing like a little free advertising!

Nice article, good luck to you. It doesn't seem to leave much time for photography though. The plus is that you probably have some time to monitor UHH and continue giving good advice and help there.

I opened the store last June, and yes, it has taken a lot away from my photography this year.

MT, way to go and a nice write up about your new adventure. Best of luck. I am going to post your story to my facebook page.

I am way to far away to help much but perhaps the normal spread of facebook data will be of some help spread the word and who knows who is going your way sometime in the future.

Done, I did post your news story to my facebook page and added a request to spread the word.

MT is to much a gentleman to make the request himself but I am not so here goes. If you are one of the many ( like me ) that have used freely the knowledge of this photographer, help let others know there is a new shop opened. I live in a metro area with more than 250,000 people and our last 'camera' shop just closed from lack of local support. Best Buy did them in.

Nice article and feature shot. Good luck with the store. A fairly new camera store in nearby Gainesville sells only accessories and services and not new cameras due to the competition from on-line sales. I really miss the good photo stores where you can go and talk with knowledgeable and friendly people. Got most of my used cameras from Hahn Graphic in Rochester, NY.

Good luck to you my friend my heart and prayers are with you. I truly wish I lived close enough to use your services. I would be there all the time!

Congratulations! I live in a larger metro area and we really only have one privately owned camera store, which is not really near me. Other than Best Buy, there are very few options beyond online to get my photo fix filled. I wish there were more B&M options out there. I wish you great success, health and happiness!

Great news about your little store... When you open a branch in Florida, we will all be your favorite customers. Good luck with this adventure.

Nice write-up! I like all your answers to those questions. You've taken on quite a challenge. I wish you well. Have you ever considered (perhaps you do already?) offering photo workshops? I realize you can only do so much, but there seems to be some money in teaching others (via workshops) how to improve their skills. Never been to Montana, but it's certainly on my bucket list. Best of luck. -Mark

Actually I do 4 photo seminars a year in Yellowstone Park, September 2013 was dedicated to UHH members only. Next seminar is June 1-4, 2014.
I also do 7 free 1 hour summer seminars at the store, every other Saturday at 11am, on the front lawn.
