Adobe CC for $9.99/Month? Can't Find It.
Jerry I had CC this year for $10 month then $50. after that. Now its $20. month for a year then $50. With CC you get it all every thing Adobe makes for one price.

Are the cloud upgrades worth the money if you already have the disk version of CS6?

Good question. What I have will never be updated. The only improvements available will be through CC.

I don't know. Probably wouldn't be for me. I have never had access to a current (or even close!) version of PS, though. I used version 5 for a while, which I picked up cheap at a computer show, but that wouldn't run under vista. For a good while I have been using and learning CS2. I just bought CS3 (grr...), but now I have the latest and greatest!
One downside to it, is that you cannot get cheap books for a current version. I ordered 4 used books on Amazon (2 by Scott Kelby, who seems highly recommended) for 1 cent each, plus $3.99 each for postage. The ones which cover CC are closer to $50 each... I will have to be more judicious in my book purchases!

Renewal
After the first 12 months, we will automatically renew your contract based on the current price of the offering.
A little different wording to your catch of today.
Yeah, the word current as in current price of the offering could mean current as in the $29.99/mo price that is not the special price, or it could mean the current price you're paying at the time your year is up of $9.99/mo. Sounds like a play on words to me. If they jacked it up to $29.99/mo after a year there would be a mas exodus like rats from a burning ship.

Or it could be a gradual increase that people could stand. Like that experiment where they put (I forget what) into a pot of water and gradually increase the heat. It seems that if you don't cancel right away, you're stuck for 50% of the contract bill for the rest of the year.

I've heard two different interpretations of that wording.
1. If you lock in the $9.99/mo rate, then it stays that rate that you have "locked" in until you cancel. That was per a conversation with their support desk.
2. Or it can mean the rate will be determined by the effective/current rate AT the time you come up for renewal, a year from now.

Does this apply to the current offer - Dec 2? Their wording indicates that the price could rise.

That is what I understand. You might also verify with their customer service for yourself if interested.
http://www.adobe.com/products/discount-software-coupons.htmlThis page details the current special offers available for CC including the prior owners version and the new users version.
I had to go with the new users' version because the versions I already owned (PS3 and 5) were educator's licenses, which Adobe does not count as "real" licenses. I didn't qualify for the educators' discount because I am now retired.
If you want to keep up with the latest on this stuff, check the Luminous Landscape form, post processing section. There's a couple of Adobe staff who participate from time to time, often responding to questions or explaining confusing details.
Okay, from their Terms and Conditions statement:
Renewal
"After the first 12 months, we will automatically renew your contract based on the current price of the offering."
I would take that to mean, that they will automatically renew your contract at whatever rate is in effect at that point in time. It could be $9.99/mo or it could be $29.99/mo, or it could be $99.99/mo....
I guess the best part is that you lock the price in for at
least a year. I think that my upgrade path stops here. I already have LR5 and PS6 and will be looking for different options over the next year or so.
