Icon, but not new forum. People just need follow rules. I'd vote for a new IR forum tho, not a user run, but an actual titled one.

It's a good idea in theory, but people would post in the "wrong" section all the time. So we would end up with "look how cute my kitty is" pics in the c&c section, and c&c requests in the gallery section.

The same thing with special icons. Some people would misuse the icons on purpose, while others would use them incorrectly out of ignorance of how the forum works.
It would be nice to have a way of separating genuine c&c requests/discussions from other pic posts, but I don't think this is the way to do it.

I commend you Nightski and am so glad to see new ideas and someone willing to offer them, keep it up.
However, I see no reason for anew post/forum/gallery.
All people have to do is be honest on the one we have and keep morons from having a go at them for being honest

It always takes a little time to herd people in the right direction. I think it would take time, but it would be worth it in the end. I would be willing to pm people and remind them if they are going to give the "thumbs up" or "nice photo" then they need to give some technical analysis to their assessment. I'm very diplomatic as you have seen. Country's Mama has PM'd me, and indicated that she would be willing to help monitor. She is also a person that knows how to be tactful. Will you give me a couple of days to find a few other people that would be willing to pm people that need a reminder on what the section is for? Country's Mama thinks we need about 5 monitors for the site. I am open to suggestions. Let's not kill the idea quite yet. Let's at least hash it out.
This morning, for my own sanity's sake however, I am going to get out in the National Wildlife Refuge with my camera, so I will be out until mid morning. Please don't think I have gone AWOL. I'll be back to discuss this.
