Hi Linda, thanks for sharing your pic's, kind of stirred old memories was in the military at Tacoma and made several trips to Mt Rainer back in 1966, before leaving for downtown Vietnam!
Thank you for viewing and commenting, and welcome to UHH!

I just realized that these were HDR. Normally I don't like HDR because they're mostly overdone. But these look great, not overdone, just enough to enhance the color. You're giving me the incentive to try the HDR in my Nikon.
I was glad I took a couple of test shots to compare. I think the view of Mt. Rainier was a very subtle difference, could see a bit more from contrast from the little pond close-up.
I don't believe the in-camera HDR with the SX50 allows for setting your own choices as to how many shots (3) or how many stops or fractions (believe it's one full in each direction). Gotta say I like not having to do anything in pp to combine 'em, though :)

Gorgeous views!!
That would be a great spot to do a sample of the SX50 at 1x, 25x, 50x, 100x and 200x !!!

Nice work as usual. I always smile when I see your avatar, because of the great photography you post and because as a lifelong resident of the "wet side", I'm familiar with most all of your subjects, especially "your canyon". Today was especially nostalgic because no summer was complete without a motorcycle ride over Chinook during the short window when it's possible. I have lots of shots taken from the area but yours would be the one on my wall.

Excellent shots. That SX50 is very impressive. I have the T3i but I am thinking about buying the SX50 for a walk around camera.
Great shots ! One of my top 3 places in the world !
Nice shots. Really liked #2.
I went up to Paradise yesterday morning ...cold and foggy in the lowlands, bright/blue/60 degrees on The Mountain..... love your images... :-)

This is a lovely reminder of a trip we took when our son was stationed in the Navy at Bremmerton.

I really like the second shot even with the lens flare. It's such a beautiful area. Thanks for sharing these beauties.
