I am currently using a Canon XSi and came into a little $$. I am thinking of moving up to a 7D Canon...anyone have any experience good or bad with this camera?

I have owned the Canon 7d for over three years and it rocks. It has been my go to camera. I also own the 5dmkii. Just sold the 7d in favor of the new 70d. Now the 70d is a step down from the current 7d, but the new movie follow focus features of the 70d makes it my new go to camera.

The 7d has been around for a while and probably will be replaced soon and come down in price, but it is still a great camera.

I sold my 7d with a inexpensive lens for 1k and bought the new 70d body for $1200. Was a win win for the buyer and me.

I went from the Canon XS to the 7D about a year and half ago and have been very happy. I'm sure you will enjoy the 7D. TNmike

The 7d is a fantastic camera. I bought it initially to take sport pictures of my son and his teammates. It is a fast camera and great for sports photography. Lately I've been interested in learning more about portrait photography and it works well. You will love it!

Coming from an XTi, I can say there will be a learning curve for the 7D, but it should be a lot of fun!

Do compare the 7D along side the 70D and consider what features are most important to you.

I just brought a Canon 7 d ( still have my 20d ) and love it.

I was thinking of going full frame with the 5d but was impressed with the lower price 7d and its specifications. Takes great photos

The 7D will last me for a long time and does a great job.

I have had my 7D for about 2 years and it does all I ask of it. It could do even more if I was better versed on it. I hope you like yours as much as I love mine. Have fun and keep shootin'. Mike

I upgraded to the 7d from the T2i. Still have and use both. It will take some time getting used to the different camera layout and menu. I got it for a back-up, as well as a wildlife camera (due to the 8fps and other things). Love the 7D.

Can you cancel it???

Just asking because B&H has it for the same price, but you get a free memory card and extra battery.

I used the 7d for only a week(borrowed it), and thought it was a great camera. If you do sports or wildlife, you won't beat it.
But depends on your shooting. If you do only stationary stuff, you may also try to find a good deal on a 5d mkll.
But the 7 does that almost as well. SS
