I apologize for doing three bear topics so close to each other. After this one I am going to give bears a rest for a week or two,I do not want to be labeled as a specialized bear photographer. But many more are lined up in the queue.

I really like these shots, alaskan! Especially 3 & 5. When I saw you used a 135, my heart stopped. But they look like a 135, you can tell you were close. But man, don't get too close! Very nice work, and daring!

Hi Ivan! Wonderful series of photos ( as usual )! What I love other than your great photography is that you tell us something about your subject. I would have never known about the tape worms. I know you always are, but please be careful. I want to see your shots for years to come. Cheers.

Yes,tape worms are the best kept secret.Together with ice worms. While eating ice worms would not hurt anybody bear meat must be boiled real good to kill the parasites.BTW bears know how to make the tapeworms exit, they start eating clay.I try to keep the text with my photos to the minimum because I do not want to bore people.Thanks.

Great shots. 135mm would still be too close for me I use a 300mm for my wild anamal shots and still crop.

Thanks Hal81. Have you ever tried to use 300mm in a rainforest where the vegetation is in your face and light levels way below marginal?
