I think of the traditional "A" is for apple. There are lots of wild apple trees flourishing in our neighbourhood.
A is also for acorns. When I was a kid we used to collect acorns, bore a hole in them and insert a matchstick and pretend we were smoking an acorn pipe.
And there are a couple or more butterflies with species names starting with an "A". Admirals and American Lady.
And A is for axe; The World's largest axe can be found at Nackawic, New Brunswick.

These are great images Fred Ann. Love your image of the aster and the effect you used....lovely!

Thank you, Irene. I used my favourite photoshop filter; found under filters I often chose 'artistic' and then use the 'poster edges' effect, glad you liked it.

My daughter and I once owned an antique shop and I unknowingly bought these Arrowheads when I purchased a miscellaneous box lot at an auction once. Quelle surprise! when I discovered them! Today I treasure these Artifacts.

I remember finding arrowheads when I was young. Believe they were made from agates and was always disappointed that I never found one that was not chipped. I do not know what happened to them. A great treasure Fred Ann.

Thanks, Irene. I know the ant is tiny, but since it starts with "a" I thought I would draw attention to it.

pg. 1, Irene, thank you. My first thought was Apples and Automobiles. Strange how, at the spur of the moment, I couldn't think of anything other than Apples and Autos.
