Does anyone know where a person can buy a photography vest that has all the cool pockets?

You might also try a "fishing vest". I purchased my photo vest at a "pro" camera shop. Where are you located? (I would bet that B&H sells them)

If you have an army-navy surplus store near you, you may can find one there. One is made for law-enforcement that has lot of pockets and zippers that would work.

B&H does have them but will check my local army-navy store first. I am located in Texas north of Houston.

I would try the surplus angle first. IMO, you over-pay for the photo-vest (speaking from experience!)

Make sure the pockets are secure. I lost a 21/2.8 Elmarit-M in Moscow from wearing a cheap vest with insecure pockets. That's serious money.

Cheers,

R.

With a cool vest and a new Canon Camera I can at least look as though I know what I am doing :-)

They show them in the back of photography magazines, or just google them. Either should give you plenty vest to choose from. Good luck in finding one.

I have a tramrac photo vest and love it. tried the fishing vest didn't work for me. Keep in mind a vest DOES NOT take the place of a good bag. A vest does not offer any protection for you gear just a convience while shooting.

This is true. I've used my vest as extra pockets when out hiking.

I have been wearing the same DOMKE vest since the early 80's, very durable, very comfortable, and more pockets than I can count. Here is a link if you want to check them out.
