Yes they were Linda, it always amazes me when I venture into the woods as I never know what will be there in front of my camera. I still haven't go the hawk's or owl's that I get a fleeting view of once and a while. Someday I will get a chance at them with the camera and I will be ready!

Being out in nature is the greatest. Getting a photo of an encounter is icing on the cake :)

They are a pleasure to watch and photograph. They haven't been chasing the ladies lately so the mating season may be over for this group in our area. Maybe someday you will have this pleasure also as we didn't have them here for the first 12 years we lived here.

Great shots, good to see some wild turkeys since they are not in this part of the state!

Thank you Dave, great entertainment for me and fun to test the limits of space invader, their space that is.

I've seen them twice in Washington. Posted some shots on UHH awhile back. They are VERY common now in many parts of Maine!

A walk in the woods after mowing the lawn today provided me some entertainment. There were 3 turkey's roosting on a deadfall from last weekends storm. They hung around long enough to get 20 or so shots and then we all left. I'm sure they will come back to the spot as I took them a mix of seed and sunflower seeds which they love.

Better check with the local game wardens. It's against the law to feed wildlife in some areas. Just sayin.

They are on a great recovery with the help of our Dept. of Natural Resources and hunting groups. It is good to hear that they are out in your area also. Thank you for your information and your comments, it is always nice to hear your tid bits as many times they make me smile.

It is legal to feed the wild animals but not to bait them to shoot them, WITH a GUN but the Camera I can shoot over the limit. Thank you for the information and the concern about the laws. It is important that we obey them.

Oh yes......How we miss Maplewood Minnesnowta!! We lived in Maplewood for 10 years in "Witch's Woods" off of McNight Road. We had a deer feeder in the backyard and filled it every single month with 900 pounds of sunflower seed, whole and cracked corn. We also had the turkeys along with every other critter around as our backyard also had a natural wetland almost in the backyard. Your turkey pictures are very very nice and with patience you will capture the eagles, hawks and owls!! Thank you for sharing. :)

Well lately it has been Minnerainsalot although some of the lakes still had ice on them for the May 11th fishing opener. Thank you for looking and the nice comment. I can't wait till retirement to move out of ST.Paul MPLS Road Construction cities. I will not miss that either. It took us 3 hours to go to ST Cloud last weekend because of road destruction here.
