For all my lovely Hedge Hog friends. - I finally made it home - seems like a long time. Guess it is really. Had my back surgery on April 22. Was in hosp. for 3 weeks (I think), the rest of the time in rehab until May 31. I have to wear a brace for a total of 4 months. We call it a "turtle shell". As I have said, I do feel sorry for the poor turtles. Have 3 months yet to go. But I get better every day. Have help during the day, plus my daughter will be staying with me at night. Will send you a picture of me in my corset once I figure out how.
Thank you for all the lovely Cards and greetings. Love you all.

Much more impressive RR. May I suggest dodging the shadows a little to increase the detail and cut back on the contrast. Love the lines these root create. Well done on the cropping.

JacLee, So sorry to hear about your surgery. I had back surgery nearly three years ago and thought I would die for the next week. My surgery was "simple", so I can't imagine what it is like for you. My prayers for rapid, pain free healing are on the way up as we "speak". Blessings! Elizaabeth

Been back and did some catching up...

pg 9:

wISOr, the more you play the more you learn. Nice shot. shoot more of the same same thing at different exposures and different angles.

Cool series Georgeann. Especially like the stump or log cross section at it's branching point.

Fred Ann, Lots of variety in those flowers.

William, you been spritzin' the fruit again haven't you?

pg. 10:

Rufe, just gorgeous.

PattyAnne, You do some good work there. Especially like that first tree bark shot. Do you know what kind of tree it is?

pg. 11:

oooooooooh!!! Lightening!!!! Really nice catch, Jim.

Gramps, to answer you question on the last one, I say "Yes"!

Plessner, you really got my heart pumping in those slot canyons. I Would love to spend a whole day in one and just shoot the same shots as the sunlight enters differently.

pg. 12:

minniev, that's one place we haven't been too yet. You present it beautifully. Love the color and the pattern in the sand.

there are so many great shots to make comments on, so let me do this. While I was at that elementary school program last Friday I spotted this poster in the teacher's resource and copy room and I've decided ....

Thank you lhammer43, and I like your bamboo. You do know that some of the programs out there will take the blue out of the bamboo.

Oh yeah, I did go back to find your suggestion, Bushido, and tried a couple of things. It's a pretty rudimentary program but was able to pull some of the blue out in the first one and all the blue came out in the second one.
