Thanks to Helen I have received email from Adorama , that my refund will be credited to my account in three to four business days.

I am wondering how long it would have taken had Helen not been a member of UHH?

Well...as I said. I've dealt with them for years and all it's ever taken was a phone call and got orders cancelled, or modified or whatever.

Your experience was certainly not the norm for them...I'd recommend not writing them off just yet. :)

We are shipping out 5-6,000 orders every day, and while the aim, certainly, is for them all to be trouble-free, we may not always hit the mark first time for a multitude of reasons. (The most usual one will be human error, ie a silly mistake by one person which could have been avoided had he or she been 100% focussed).

I hope that with me being here - and on over 600 other different photography forums, shopping sites, Flickr groups, personal blogs etc - I can reach out to customers and help where our normal systems failed to work as they should.

From owning my own business for years, I can appreciate what you went through. Anytime you are in the blind when it comes to mail order items, it sometimes is a hit or miss. I am usually on the miss part! It was also nice that Helen responded quickly and took care of the problem. I recently ordered a camera bag that fit my needs on ebay though a company, won't mention the name, and 3 days later I still did not have a tracking number, I emailed them and explained that the package was not sent and to check out why. 11 days later and still no package. By the way, was suppose to come out of California. I did get my money back, but still no camera bag and am heading out on a trip and needed this. Now this was from a company that had a great track record as well. I chalk it up to karma!
Oh, still looking for a great camera bag! Anyone?????

I agree with the others who have posted. Nothing but good from Adorama. I always check both Adorama and B&H for price and availability before I order. Last order was a used D3s. B&H had none in stock and Adorama had only one with high shutter count. The salesman included a two year Mack Warrany in the deal at no charge to help offset the shutter count issue. I got the camera on schedule, checked the shutter count and it matched the salesman's statement. The warranty papers were in the box with the camera. It is perking right along. Nothing but good from Adorama for me.

Adorama is awesome. I have given them more money than I did my ex-wife's alimony and child support....and that was alot!!!

I love Adorama and their service.

As a matter of fact, i am planning a trip in the fall to NYC just to go to Adorama. Will be my first NYC visit. My wife and her mother take trips to NYC every now and then...and they don't even go to Adorama!!! what's the use of going there and not stopping at the main attraction.

I can see the statue of liberty and empire state bldng in any picture.....but to be in Adorama and be able to touch and try and buy is way beyond......I better stop, I am salivating!!! I plan on spending 2 days in Adorama, if my money holds out.

Adorama...i am saving up my spending bucks. Be ready!!!

and also thanks for all the great service you have given me over the last 3 years.

It really depends what kind of bag you are looking for eg, more of a back pack? A bag to take on a 2-week break to hold everything you might need, or something just for a day out where you know pretty much what you are going to be photographing so you only need it to hold a small amount of gear.
