Very nice Treepusher, like the effect

Thanks, Gregory. It's an interesting effect, and I'll have to learn to do it better to really make them good. But I have to start somewhere, lol.

Thanks for looking! : )

Looks like you were successful. Very nice.

Thanks, Vicki. Not sure about successful, other than I got it done. It's going to take some practice to make them worthwhile, but learn by doing and thowing away most of them, lol.

Appreciate your visit!

I like it, Randy! It looks a lot like the vignette filter I was telling you about in your last thread. Very pretty.

Thanks for looking, Donna. I took a peek at the Nik site, as you suggested, tho they didn't show that particular filter. This effect takes some time to do, and don't really know enough of what I'm doing other than to follow the cookbook so far.

And as usual, Cookie's background here is a Gaussian-blurred nebula, which gave a rich deep purple glow to the shot even before I started to fiddle with the Dragan recipe.

I'll probably put the Monster shot up shortly, too. It's too funny to wait for October, lol.

Trying a new processing technique on this called the 'Dragan' effect. New to me, anyway. Haven't seen it done with cats, and Cookie's probably not the best model for it, as stripes and wrinkles seem to work best, but for a first attempt, I wasn't all that unhappy.

And anyway, it was fun to try something a little different.

Different but not unpleasant at all, like the results. Like yourself would never had thought about a cat.

What Nik filter are we talking about? I have the complete package and am curious. Thanks!

Thanks for looking. Fun to try something different now and then, sort of stretches the legs of the imagination. And I know I can do better than this!

Appreciate the visit!

It's the vignette in ColorEfex, Ernie. It's the one that has the eye dropper to change the color not the lens vignette.

Donna was suggesting I try ColorEfex for the vignetting function, Ernie. A carry-over conversation from my previous post "Cookie Monster."

Thanks very much, Joe. There's lots of room for improvement here, lol. But guess that's how we learn.
