I like your black background. Was this a black board, or did you do some PP?

:) Black foam core. I'm not much for such sophisticated PP. I had a little trouble keeping it place with the wind blowing how it was, but it worked quite well for what I wanted to achieve. Thanks for looking.

Now I learned something again, just by paying attention. I would not have thought you could get that background effect right out of the camera in mid-day sun. I was sure you had used some masking technique in Photoshop. What a great place to spend some time. I'll be sure to try your technique myself this spring. Thanks.

:) Well, now, aren't you glad you payed attention to detail? You're welcome!

Its really not so hard to do. I will say that I did do some Levels and Curves adjustments in PP but no masking of any sort.

I did the same with the Fuchsia pics I previuosly posted (http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-113944-1.html) but I had a little help from my wife holding it (the foam board) behind the hanging basket when I shot those pics.

Give it a try and show us your results. Thanks for looking.

Its been quite windy the past few days, and I hesitated to go out to take pics of the tulips growing in the yard. Around noon, today, it seemed like the wind died down enough so I went out and shot these pics. I had to be patient when the breezes blew and waited for the flowers to either stop moving or slow down. Most of the shots were taken at 1/1000" and above.

I shot these HH using a Canon EOS 50D w/EF 17-85mm lens; Av f5.6; ISO 200. Exif intact. PP w/PSE8.

Enjoy them. Comments welcome.
