I guess I'm in the minority...

While I don't condone what she did, I do understand mistakes...we've all made horrible mistakes in our life, If I had a dollar for every time I've wished I could go back and change my behavior I'd be rich...but we can't change the past...we can only live with the regret and move on.

I guess I don't understand hearts that are so full of darkness that they'd hate for so long...

PS: Here is her actual statement about the events:

There is a grand difference between someone making a mistake in thier life and being sorry for it afterwards, and horrendous actions of which go down in history as being infamous. e.g. Nero, Benedict Aronold, Hitler - and Jane Fonda. A traitor is a traitor - that is not a slight mistake in one's life. It's one thing to accidnetally take someone's life say in a car accident and ask for forgiveness from the affected family. It is totally different to do sane and exact actions and exerted efforts that support and give comfort to an enemy of your country which cause thousands of death becasue your actions.

Being a Traitor is beyond forgiveness. Especially when it cost G.I.s' their lives.

May Jane "BURN" for Eternity.

Ask Senator John McCain what he thinks(privately, and see what he says.)

Wouldn't it be great if the Hollywood so called "stars" and has been's would stick to making movies and stay out politics with their warped perspective of what the real world is. Lately it seems like more and more of that elite crowd is popping up on television with there take on how to deal with everything from famine in Africa, to gun control, to the conflicts in the Middle East. I say to them "Sit down, shut up, and quit ruining my day". Try to make a decent movie or album or whatever the hell you think you're good at and quit giving your advice on politics or whatever. You have the right to freedom of speech but it's hard to judge events from the top floor of those Ivory Towers. And Dennis Rodman needs to go back and visit his little buddy in North Korea before the night sky goes bright. And take Madonna and Sean Penn with him. And why do the so called "stars" have to adopt kids from all over the world when there are plenty of kids needing families right here? I guess it makes them feel special. And even though I'm a right wing conservative if I hear Laura Ingraham talk about her adopted kid from Russia anymore I'll probably throw up. Well that's enough for this therapy session. Y'all have a nice day.

I would like to paraphrase Mark Twain as regards Jane Fonda.

"I have never wished for the death of any man or woman, but have read some obituaries with great satisfaction."

I look forward to reading hers.

So is the forgiveness before or after you execute Hitler?

Is forgiveness before or after you imprision a conviced felon?

e.g. Napoleon Boneapart was captured and sent into exile. aka forgiven for his past actions. Only he escaped to re-emerge to continue his campaign of trying to rule the world. Just how often do forgive the same person for his actions, namely a re-peat offender?

I love the quote. I'm a fan of Mark Twain but don't ever remember hearing that quote.

Well, that depends on whether you are a Christian or not. If you don't believe what Christians believe about forgiveness, then sure...classify her actions as "unforgivable."

But from my point of view; all actions (sins) are forgivable, and mine aren't any "better" than hers in the sight of God. (In other words, I'm not "better" than her because what I've done wrong is somehow "more acceptable")

Quote:
e.g. Nero, Benedict Aronold, Hitler - and Jane Fonda. A traitor is a traitor - that is not a slight mistake in one's life.

Again...It depends on your point of view.

Well...not in the Christian view; I always remember this phrase;

"There...but for the grace of God....go I..."

Yes..if it wasn't for the grace of God...I'd make her sins look like child's play.

That's my Christian point of view; but your's obviously is different.

Even the Russian KGB said back in the 80's... "If we took over America, we would execute her for bering a traitor to her country!"

She was what they called a useful idiot.

Lets see someone pays millions to a few jerks who denounce a man who showed bravery in combat and you believe those men but not the ones who were on the boat!

This is why you are looked upon by over 70% of the nation as not good for the country!

I, read her book, and it was good, she said if she new, it would of caused such a stir, she would of done different. People, wanted her to pose, and it looked terrible here. I believe God can forgive her if she askes, we must also. We are not to judge.

Exactly, Cheryl!
I find it in Christ's philosophy and commandments that we forgive 70 times 7 (a term that meant innumerable times). If Hitler, in his last seconds, had asked Christ for forgiveness, sincerely, he would have received it and would have been with Christ in heaven. This is a hard lesson for me. I must forgive in the same way. The Bible says a little bitterness poisons the entire well, and, as such, unforgiveness poisons us.

70 times 7 is 490. It's not innumerable. I think I'm about to run low. Are there any frequent sinner bonus points I can use?
