For my major project at college, I have chosen to look at how the recent flooding in England has affected our landscape/environment. But I'm struggling to find many examples of photographers who do this sort of thing. So far for my research I have looked at Fay Godwin and Richard Misrach, but brilliant photographers and I love their work, but I need more!!

Anyone have any ideas of favourites?

Yeah these are all really good and some pretty good viewpoints! But im guessing most are just snapshots or mobile pics maybe, and I need more professional photographers to write about =/

he suggests Neue Sachlichkeit, John Blakemore, Peter Dombrovskis,Per Bak Jensen, Michael Kenna, Shinzo maeda, Paul Raphaelson, Brett Weston, - also cites Fay Godwin

these are for Ideas for landscapes, possible to use their photographs to compare /contrast with media shots and mobile phone shots. I've got a degree in Geog and Env Science didn't really use a lot of photography 'names' in that but pulling quotes gives kudos.

also look up local tv websites for their news pictures, they should be attributed to the photographers - google their name and see what pops...

I don't know about England, but here in Pennsylvania I would contact a conservation police officer (Fish, Game and Environmental Law Enforcement). I also believe that New York is set up in a similar way. Here in Pa. we deal with many different types of pollutions to our waterways, including, but not limited to silt pollutions caused by construction companies using poor or non-existant erosion & sediment controls. Photos are a requirement for prosecution of these violations.

I'm in NC and I know a man who shoots environmental photographs. His work isn't related to flooding, but he is a great photographer. He has photographed a river basin to document areas in need of protection as well as mountain top removal, etc. If you are including other areas outside of New England, you may want to contact him. Spanner, Looks like a tough subject to tackle. I've got three suggestions for you. Though not exactly sure what you are looking for.
First is the Japanese photographer, Naoya Hatakeyama. He has done some disasters, both man made and natural.
The second is the South African photographer Pieter Hugo. Look at the work from his Permanent Errors body of work.
Janet Delaney is a local photographer(UC Berkely) that has chronicled the passing of at least two neighborhoods, one in San Francisco and the other in NY, from old tenent apartments into commercial redevelopments. Check'em out.
I have seen exhibitions by these three photographers. All have very powerful work. If I think of anybody else, I'll let you know.

Let's not forget the work of W. Eugene Smith in exposing Minamata Disease (heavy metal poisoning) in Japan in the early 1970's. The picture, Tomoko Uemura in Her Bath, taken in 1971, still brings tears to my old and jaundiced eyes.
