Sorry if I spoke too tech. If you do grab it, feel free to ask questions. I was lucky in that someone took time to help me learn. I'm happy to try my best to pay it forward.

I guess I'm spoiled by Premier's automatic recognition of a certain % of a solid color background, and with the click of OK, it'll change the solid color (doesn't matter what color) to transparent. Then it's simply a matter of using a lower layer for backgrounds of anything, including other video clips. It's like way back when I switched from a drafting board and a pocket full of calculators to CAD... I quickly forgot how to do the math, and no longer had to worry about drawing straight lines.

Lol! Keylight has a very good initial selector that you can add or subtract pixel percentage fairly easy. Most keyers have decent selectors these days. It only becomes a concern when you don't have good footage, or evenness, or shadows to contend with. With difficult shoots it could save days, and hours with good shoots it could save minutes. It completely depends on your footage. My recommendation with the instant merging of positions, it is both a standard, and often seen plug-in. Either way you have plenty of options.

I use Green Screen for my Grand Children, they really love it and we have so much fun. I'll put on a couple pictures that I used this weekend with Green Screen. I'm very interested in learning how to use it with Video. If anyone can tell me how to do that I would appreciate it.

Your pictures came through just fine. And if you want to do video green screen, it's a simple matter of purchasing Adobe Premiere Elements, about $100 +/-, and you're ready to go. Premiere will automatically recognize your green screen and ask if you wish to make it transparent. You can turn the green screen on and/or off any time you wish. On layers, or tracks in video, you can put in any photo or other video background you wish. It's really quite simple, actually.

Does anyone play around with Green-Screen? If so, what do you use it for?

Green Screen Wizard. Almost exclusively for portraiture.

going try put couple picture together

That would be a nifty picture, placing the first people and their rig flying over the moon. You should do it, and show us the results. Before & After are interesting ways of showing the results of background replacements. I like it.

which free software be best for beginner

I'm sure you can download a trial version of Adobe Premiere Elements, but after 30 days without purchasing, it'll stop working. There are other green screen products, but I'm not familiar with their use.

Pinnacle Studio 14 came with green screen and is a good product just upgraded to 15 I hear. I would suspect that 15 also has green screen. Pinnacle has been around at least since I began using it in the late 90s with version 7 and has shown to stay ahead of others in what it delivers in conjunction with technology changes. I've tried other editors but stick with Pinnacle because I can count on them to keep up with the curve.

When I said Studio 14 came with green screen, it was actually Studio 12 first and "came with" meant to imply that there was a green screen cloth backdrop in the box, in case I failed to make that clear. It hasn't been unfolded yet but I've got it. I'm not much for doctoring stuff. Not philosophical, just lazy.

In the studio at the museum, where we do green-screen documentary films of the lives of military veterans, and other historically significant persons, we stretched tightly a green screen 10 feet wide and 8 feet tall, one solid piece of cloth. It's just about got to be that wide to accommodate two people siting at a table, or a group of people. The most important factor is lighting, LOTS of lighting, shadow-canceling lighting. The devil is in the details.
