Karl, Actually I was close to "home". Was Raised in Arnside and spent a lot of boyhood holidays on a cabin cruiser owned by my uncle and moored at Lakeside. I go home every year to spend some time with my brother. Have lived in the States for the past 48 years and spent time in South Africa, Canada and Australia prior to that.
I liked your time exposure of the water flowing over the dam - must try it sometime.
