These were taken today on a 30 second exposure to try and get a smoother reflection in both views and also in view one to get more water movement over teh wier to the water rather than a frozen in time look.
Both pictures are from either side of the bridge looking in the same direction - the time of day is not ideal as it was 2pm
I decreased a full stop on the camera and used 4 stops on the lens with ND filters

:thumbup: both lovely .... I especially like the second one ... Did you have a hot toddy or two in what looks like some sort of riverside boozer? ... I'm guessing its the "Swan Hotel" ??

Unfortunatley not as I was just taking twenty minutes out of a busy work schedule - however I do know the hotel and would recomend it - very nice and lovely welcome
good food for a longer leisurely lunch at teh fringe of the Lake District

A "cremated" T bone steak... chips,(fries to you US folk).. fried onions, a grilled tomato, garden peas and a few mushrooms ..... Lovely ... Its many moons ago since I was there ....

I like the bridge been there a time or two we tended to go further north sky`s always difficult with those sort of exposure times real nice though

Nice shots Karl, #2 looks great, not frozen in time but a nice glide. Here in Wales we are frozen in January.

Thanks for your comment - yeah I hear its pretty rough in part of the country - My niece is in Ponty Pridd and she says ----blummin cold!!!!!
Interestingly enough I took a photo of Newby Bridge from a very similar position back in early December and then climbed Gummers How and took a photo from the top - beautiful day!!
Forgot to attach the Newby Bridge photo!!
