That's one way to cut down on the drama.

How do we enforce this? Report someone?

Ranger, I believe it would be up to the person posting the original pic/thread to report any hijacking to the admin and then let them take care of it.
(aside) If your a New York Ranger fan it's probably good to stay "in Hiding" if your a texas Rangers fan you're ok. (all in good fun, just love hockey, but not the rangers)

emrob62: Why do they call it NEPA when it's on the Western side of the state?

Hey Jack, not sure where you're going there. I'm in the Northeastern corner of Pennsylvania; above allentown below the New York border a little west of New jersey and not quite to the central region of the state. And not to far from the birth palce of cable television.

All for it!!! It protects our images that belong solely to the photographer....a mass email would be good for an issue this important

If you notice it, send me a PM with a link. I'll remove it. And if the same person keeps doing it over and over, then I'll ban him/her.

For anyone who wants to have their pictures edited, please explicitly state so in your posts accompanying the pictures and invite others to submit their versions.

Gosh, Emrob, my mistake! I just assumed from your location that you lived in the little village of "North East, PA", which is located just a few miles east of the PA/OH state line (or western PA) way up above I-90 on US20 (just south of Lake Erie shoreline). Have been there quit a few times, and could never understand why that village was called "North East". After seeing your response I Googled NEPA, and see you are actually in the northeastern park of the state. Best regards, jack

Would it be possible for Hedgehog to add a check-off box giving or denying permission for another to edit?

No problem Jack, Never actually heard of that little place. Given that my daughter wants to go to Mercyhurst College next year, sounds like I might be able to stumble upon it. Take care

Good thought DJ! Many times it is not possible to help some one see alternatives with just words. There were at least two very good cases of that recently. Besides, "Permission" shouldn't be left up to interpretation, or quibble. An indicator would should work well.

Nothing personal .... but this new rule doesn't *protect* anything... certainly NOT the images. The rule says no posting the edits. They can still be downloaded with or without the download button.

Quite so. It is like a padlock on the garden shed. It won't keep the bad guys away, but serves as a reminder to those who really want to play by the rules.

think for 30 seconds before you hit send could be another very effective rule.

I think it is a good idea
