It does indeed. Thank you for taking time for a great explanation.

I captured this image more than several years ago. Original was color but was converted to B&W using Adobe Camera Raw. I often look back at older photos with the thought in mind of reprocessing them using modern processing tools and a little imagination.

Excellent work! That looks like a place I would want to visit.

Solvang is a community that reflects the architecture, culture and atmosphere of a typical Swedish village. It comes complete with a windmill. It is located about 120 miles north of Los Angeles. My wife and I manage to get there once or twice each year. I believe that you would enjoy going there.

My wife works for a Swedish company, so I see the architectural references. She’s been to their headquarters several times, and has lots of photos.

That being the case, you would most certainly enjoy Solvag.

Lovely balance of symmetrical architectural elements... the transition from left to right off into more distant far right yields depth and brings subtle perceived third dimension to the mix...

Patience is a venture and you've triumphed by capturing this elegant scene at the peak of daylight and the dissonance of darkness i.e. the razor thin edge between those two vastly different realities of day/night... this fleeting precious veil of descending nightfall is virtually surreal... Kudos for your keen sense of timing here, it doesn't get any more intriguing than what you have achieved...

Thank you for sharing...

Wonderful Picture!

I want to do black & white photography. What is a good camera for a beginner in black & white photography?
