There are hundreds and hundreds of these little homesteads all over the state of Montana. It's amazing to me that people who settled this area and came along thereafter could live in such a small and uninsulated structure. Especially with how cold it gets out here! However, I think the occupant of this one might have felt a little constrained – if you look closely, it looks like those could be bullet holes in the appliance just inside the left door.

Great find and photo Tommy. Of course they are bullet holes. There is something about appliances left alone in the wilderness that attracts idiots with guns.

Nice photo. The previous occupant was probably sighting in his rifle for his next hunt... or he really hated modern appliances!
