Well done, Bob!
Thank you. I get a lot of practice. I have flower beds, water dishes, potted plants and roses etc. to attract birds to photograph, they also attract bees and butterflies.
Its a lovely shot, Robert! I've tried to take similar shots, and I've run into some issues that are displayed in this image, although in much, much smaller doses than in mine.
Looking very closely, there are colors that seem out of place to me. One the bee's eye there's a constellation of colored dots that I imagine don't represent what was actually there. There are similar colors on the "knee" of the right front leg, at the base of the right wing, and in a streak along the upper abdomen. I have no idea why they're there, and I'd appreciate any edification anyone could provide me.
To be very clear, I mean no critique of Robert's excellent shot. I'm just seeking a little education for me.

The eye is reflections, and the others could be reflections on a surface under the hairs and the chitin of the leg joint. The sunlight was strong and the subjects so small and close together, you could get colored reflections on just about anything that isn't absolute flat black.

And the eye is a collection of colored dots because each dot is a different segment of the compound eye reflecting light of a different wavelength.

Your two posts today are wonderful. Amazingly sharp and clean. ISO 3200 and no noise. How did you accomplish that? Wonderful depth of field at f/22 without any loss of sharpness due to the small aperture. Pretty nice. My only bone to pick on both shots is that the flowers are too bright. They vie for the eye's attention with the bee. I would have either dialed down their brightness or add a little vignette. I find the first post much better because of that lovely dark background and fewer distracting flowers.
Thanks for posting and showing what is possible.
