This is a copy of an email that appeared in my junk folder today. Could it be any more obvious that it is a scam? I am not surprised at all with the poor sentence structure, spacing, innappropriate capitalization, and other errors. The most blatant is the approximate weight of the "2 Metal Trunk Boxes." And the source email address is for a "Mr.Robert Clement" but signed by Mrs. Mira Robert." Somewhat conflicting information.

ATTENTION: I am Mrs. Mira Robert Head of Inspection Unit United Nations Inspection Agency in Harts field-Jackson International Airport Atlanta, Georgia. During our investigation, I discovered An abandoned shipment through a Diplomat from United Kingdom which was transferred from JF Kennedy Airport. To our facility here in Atlanta, and when scanned it revealed an undisclosed sum of money in 2 Metal Trunk Boxes weighing approximately 242.508IBS each. The consignment as abandoned because the Content was not properly declared by the consignee as money rather it was declared as personal Effect/classified document to either avoid diversion by the Shipping Agent or confiscation by the relevant authorities. The diplomat's inability to pay for Non Inspection fees among other things are the reason why the consignment is delayed and abandoned. By my assessment, each of the boxes contains about $4M or more. They are still left in the airport storage facility till today. The Consignments like I said are two metal trunk boxesI need all the guarantee that I can get from you before I can get involved in this project. Why would they send it to you if it was legit. Who gives away contraband. Forward it to the FBI or Interpol. It will take them 20 years to get to it but by then they will have plenty of complaints. I delete a lot of email daily.

I had twenty emails in my Spam folder this morning, and not one was legit. I usually have one or two that are genuine.

Most have some sort of mistake that gives it away. I've not seen many that are reasonable or maybe almost believable.

Just curious: how would you know they called the FBI office?

Because they sent me follow up emails complaining about not being able to reach me when they called the office.
I hooked some of those clowns for weeks doing follow up emails.
If I was quick enough and had the time when I received phone calls from fraudster's trying to get me to
invest in what-ever they were selling. I would chat with them for 20 minutes before saying goodby.
I enjoyed wasting their time.
Other times I would give them an almost correct CC no. and 3-digit code
and wait for them to run it and they couldn't get it to go through.
I keep giving them the numbers just to waste their time.
Sometimes they would get frustrated and hang up on me. LOL

String along those Nigerian scammers was also a lot of fun.
I admire the porch pirate Kings videos.

As I have mentioned before, I only open email that interests me or from senders I know. Currently, I have 158,000+ unopened emails in my in box. They are not on my computer and reside safely on my ISP's severs. The extra storage costs me $.99 a month. I seldom delete email. Consequently, I am not scammed. I doubt others employ my method. I do "move" a few important emails to specified folders.

A little update:

Today between 12:11 and 12:37 PM, I had 24 junk emails arrive in my mailbox from two diferent senders with 11 different subjects listed. Obviously there were some repeated subjects.

Obviously a scam. This seems to be another version of the old Nigerian scam. Just delete it.

I used to get a lot of those spam emails to until I started telling them that I was forwarding their emails to the FBI to investigate them for fraud.

Don't laugh, yes, these SOB's have been around for a long time, and their victim of choice is the Senior's, especially ones that are lonely or have some cognitive problems.... IT IS NOT THE SENIOR'S FAULT, AND IT'S NOT A LAUGHING MATTER!

Millions of dollars a year are scammed from Facebook. We need to implement net neutrality. These social media companies were responsible for content. These Fake ad's would stop in a minute.

That same course would benefit a large number of people on this website.
When I read some of the questions & replies here, my eyes roll involuntarily, due to the terrible spelling and grammar.
