This is a copy of an email that appeared in my junk folder today. Could it be any more obvious that it is a scam? I am not surprised at all with the poor sentence structure, spacing, innappropriate capitalization, and other errors. The most blatant is the approximate weight of the "2 Metal Trunk Boxes." And the source email address is for a "Mr.Robert Clement" but signed by Mrs. Mira Robert." Somewhat conflicting information.

ATTENTION: I am Mrs. Mira Robert Head of Inspection Unit United Nations Inspection Agency in Harts field-Jackson International Airport Atlanta, Georgia. During our investigation, I discovered An abandoned shipment through a Diplomat from United Kingdom which was transferred from JF Kennedy Airport. To our facility here in Atlanta, and when scanned it revealed an undisclosed sum of money in 2 Metal Trunk Boxes weighing approximately 242.508IBS each. The consignment as abandoned because the Content was not properly declared by the consignee as money rather it was declared as personal Effect/classified document to either avoid diversion by the Shipping Agent or confiscation by the relevant authorities. The diplomat's inability to pay for Non Inspection fees among other things are the reason why the consignment is delayed and abandoned. By my assessment, each of the boxes contains about $4M or more. They are still left in the airport storage facility till today. The Consignments like I said are two metal trunk boxesI need all the guarantee that I can get from you before I can get involved in this project. Please Reply this email strictly at (miriancooz1@outlook.com) with reconfirmation of your Full Name, Home
Address, City, State and Telephone number.
Sincerely,

We laugh because it is so hilarious that ANYONE would fall for this scam! But, somewhere out there in computer land, someone is going to reply, that is why scammers are here to stay!!!
I've read that these things are written poorly intentionally in order to NOT attract the smarter, more literate folks, but only those who can't tell that it's lousy language. Theory being that even if the smart ones replied, they'd catch on pretty quick that it was a scam and waste the shill's time.

I used to reply to some of them.
I would try and keep leading them on for as long as posable.
I passed myself off as Robert Mueller from the FBI.
Some of those morons called the FBI office in DC looking for me. LOL
Good old Hart's Field airport LOL

Just curious: how would you know they called the FBI office?
I haven’t seen one of these e-mails in a very long time😂
For $4 million, maybe you should take a chance. You could buy all the photo equipment your heart desires.
What an absolutely ridiculous message. "Mrs" might just as well have said that there is ten tons of gold with your name on it, and all she needs is your address to deliver it. Anyone stupid enough to fall for that probably wouldn't be able to read or write.

Exactly right. The poor grammar and crazy logic are filters to make sure only the most gullible respond.
