Curious what version of Win 11 do you have, Win 11 Home or Pro?

Both....
Home on the laptops, Pro on the desktop.
They both work the same for this scenario.

I think they are the same but I always use the Pro version of all the Windows. Didn't use the Ultimate either.

Oh yeah. I like Hyper-V and all of my desktops since 1996 were 2 CPU unit. So I would need the Pro version.

I don't.
I got the computer at Costco, it came with Pro.
That's nice, I think, since I'm a Pro-grammer....

To me, it's a computer.
Been working with so many various computers for 50 years,
I just need a computer.
(But they are vast improvements over the 6502s, 6809s, 68000, and the 8080 series units.)

Takes me back. When I was at Tektronix at the beginning of microprocessors, we sold microprocessor development systems and all Field/Sales Engineers were required to be able to write machine language for the 6800 series, the 8080 series and the Z80.

On Windows 11 If you hold shift and right-click you will go directly to the expanded menu and be able to copy.

Thank you! It is NOT just copy... There are several things on that expanded menu, requiring another AGGRIVATING click, that the SHIFT+Right click brings up... great reply.

Image Resizer power toy gets added to the expanded menu.

THANKS for the heads up about the shift-right-click! (I missed it earlier.)
9 times out of 10 I need to go to the expanded menu.
Too bad we cant add items to (customize) the Explorer menu.

What's wrong with CTRL+C?

I use CTRL+C for coping
And
CTRL+V for paste all the time
Highlight whole page if you want to copy it

In previous versions of Windows when you right click on the filename in Windows Explorer it shows the option to Copy or Paste. But with Windows 11 I have to click on the "show more options" to get the copy or paste. Is there a way to not having to do that?

use keyboard shortcuts. much faster than using the mouse and menus.

ctrl-a = select all
ctrl-c = copy
ctrl-v = paste

Thanks, all! I was somewhat non-plussed at how awkward 11 was compared to 10. Geniuses at Microsoft "improving" things...
