I usually take photos with my Nikon camera but last week I was absolutley blown away with my cell phone camera.
I was doing a portrait shoot of two older women for a gallery. My camera battery died on me and I forgot to take another one. So, I used my cell phone camera and I was very taken aback how good the shots came out. The prints were amazingly clear.
How can this be ?

Add to that the power of LR mobile (LR CC) Snapseed and even Apple’s editing and it makes for excellent photographs and a nice tidy system.

The real test of the quality of a smartphone camera is to take a picture of Bigfoot, Nessy, UFOs, or Aliens from Outer Space when they land and if they come out clear and sharp...the camera would be considered to be good.😁

I too have been amazed at the quality of my 5 year old iPhone SE. The quality is quite good and there are some surprising enhancements built in (like macro) and, for photo editing, there is "Snapleaf", a cellphone editing app. I'm having fun with it.

Here is my picture of Nessie taken with a Nikon D810. Perfectly sharp. Is it a good camera?

I took a pic of a furry beast in the woods and tried to get it confirmed as Bigfoot. Analysis revealed it was my mother in law. Still hunting

When I went to Israel in July, my iPhone was my go to camera indoors. It handled so much. Especially the small interiors. Outdoors I used my Nikon Z7ii with my 50mm 1.8. It was a great package! With the 43mp of the Z7 I could crop to whatever I needed with so much raw detail.

What a horrible situation there today.

The last time I was there was in November 1990, just before the start of the first Gulf War. My longest lens at the time was the 105mm f2.5 AI-s, which is what I used maybe 95% of the time, the camera being the FE-2.

Yes, terrible what is going on there, now, but if I could I would be there even now.
