Fun to watch and photograph, they are year-round residents here in the PNW. We had nests all over our property, we had to be careful Not to step on a nest as they out in the open grass. Did not mow for 6 weeks!

A reference book quality set and a fine tribute to these sweat little creatures. I grew up knowing them as Oregon Juncos and we see them seasonally here in Berkeley. Your posts are always a pleasure.
